  1. Option 2 worked like a charm, thanks. Any reason I should do anything else? I appreciate the support, the knowledge on this site helps those of us who are hack-challenged to make some much needed mods.
  2. I'm new to the hacks, and only have interest in a few, but this is one of them. I'm looking for a little reassurance before proceeding. I've backup up my flash disk to my desk top, and have downloaded this mod. My assumption is that I should take this content and add it to/ over-write a new copy of my Data.zip folder in the proper sub-folder locations, and then just copy/ replace this new Data.zip folder in over my existing folder in the head unit. Is this correct, or should I be opening the Data.zip folder in the unit and adding content there? I appreciate the hand holding on this
  3. This seems like this is an iPhone issue only, is that true? I just replaced an LG 8700, and although that presented different problems, it did not default to map. It would function properly in the iPod mode, or FM screen for instance, but considering the other issues it had, I do not know which was the bug.
  4. I just paired a new 3G iPhone to my 700 and all works fairly well, but each time I place a call, it puts me in map mode regardless of the source selected prior to making the call. I also had to transfer my contacts more than once to get them to stick. On first try each time (after resetting), the system reboots and captures only some of my contacts. If I transfer a second time, it seems to take them. On the advice of tech support, I've also tried reverting to bluetooth software version 2.9 with no change. Has anyone seen anything similar, any ideas?
  5. I appreciate the search and the input. I'm sure with a little more time I'll have a better understanding of where things are and how best to find them, but some patients from those willing to help new members goes a long way to providing an active and well supported community. Again, thanks.
  6. Is there a way to see only stickies? I'm apologize, I'm new to the site, and do not see them readily available outside of a few postings inside search results for say "speed," in Hack and Mod for F series. Is this all I am going to see, or is there a way to find more robust solutions? I saw only reviews of boot up speed on 2.0 and a map reduction solution that did not seem to provide much improvement on testing. I appreciate the help.

  8. I have, but did not easily find anything. Can you point me in a particular direction?
  9. Has anyone had any success shortening boot up speed on the 700s?
