  1. Sorry to bump an old thread, but this is what I meant to link to: http://www.scosche.com/products/productID/1667
  2. So i took out my radio to install a new A/C unit in my car and try and clean up the cables back there. I have two boxes on the IP-BUS (Bluetooth and XM). After putting everything back together I have NO audio over either box connected over the IP-BUS. I have audio over iPod, FM/AM and Navi/DVD. The IP-BUS cables go from the D3 > Bluetooth IP-BUS IN. And then Bluetooth IP-BUS OUT > XM IP-BUS IN. FYI it worked correctly before I went in there to "clean up" the wires. Any idea what I should be looking for when I take it apart this weekend or if my setup is not correct?
  3. This will work for you: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Scosche+-+A ... 8073534861
  4. No worries of that license plate getting stolen?
  5. My XM antenna is on my dash and it works just fine.
  6. It is possible to add your own POI's or at least custom names to the vicinity search? I tried searching for POI and nothing came up so I figured someone would know on here. I live around a ton of Wawa's and I want to just know where the closest one is when I am at my buddys house or something. I really hope this is possible and if not does anyone have a workaround? Thanks.
  7. So I am coming from a Garmin unit, which had a feature very convenient to me. I was able to search a POI by distance, but it would be ANY POI. I was able to just spell the name and it would search around me. For example I love Wawa Iced Tea and sometimes in Jersey I don't know where the closest one is and its not in any lists under "Vicinity Search" so I have to do a search on Google Maps on my phone and put the address in my D3. I was just wondering if I was missing something or if there truly is no way of searching for any POI using the vicinity search. Are you only allowed to do "Vi
  8. Okay well after a ton of looking around I finally found a buddy with an iPod Touch and his charges in my car so it must be something wrong with my iPod... ugh...
  9. Yes I understand all the cables that are released and whatnot, but my iPod Touch is a 1st generation. Not a 2nd generation iPod Touch, which I know doesn't charge via the D3. My iPod 5G Video charges just fine on my D3, but my iPod Touch 1st Generation does not charge on my D3. Anyone?!
  10. Yes i understand the newest iPod Touch does not charge via the cable, but as stated in my origial post my iPod Touch is one of the original ones from when they came out, so thats why im confused as to why itdoesnt support it. is there any other chance of Pioneer releasing a cable that will charge the newer ipod touches on the d3 in case i plan on getting an iphone soon.
  11. Yes the East disc will perform the firmware update -- I only bought the East disc and it worked for me.
  12. My 5G video charges just fine. It doesn't charge the iPod Touch.
  13. A2DP only will allow streaming music from the phone to the D3 via bluetooth. It has nothing to do with contacts. For phone book transfer you want: Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP, PBA[1]) This profile allows exchange of Phone Book Objects between devices. It is likely to be used between a car kit and a mobile phone to allow the car kit to display the name of the incoming caller.
  14. So from reading these forums my 1st Gen iPod Touch should charge via my Avic-D3 and the iPod cable, but it does not charge at all. I made sure that the connector on the back of the D3 is nice and secure and still no luck charging the iPod Touch. My other question is that when I get in my car with the iPod Touch plugged in (while the car was off) I need to open my glove compartment and slide to unlock before the D3 is able to read the music off the iPod to be able to play it. Anyone have any insight?
