So that did fix it. So both wires do need to be grounded prior to pressing the reset button.

It does as soon as I turn it on with out moving so I will do a reset and test. Thanks for all the great work.

Ok so I did the update on my z2 last night, it went through all good, i hit the reset button all worked great. So I drove to work with just my parking brake grounded, and got the message, hooked up the 2nd wire. The question is do I need to press the reset button a second time now??
