  1. Ok so finally talked to a crutchfield dude that knew what he was doing. I have a 2002 bmw 330xi. They had provided me with an adapter for the wires. In the back of the Avic n4 there are 2 plugs that have wires coming out of it. One is a blue plug the other is a white plug. I had taken the blue wire from the blue plug and attached that to the blue wire from the adapter. There is a blue white wire from the white plug. Apparently what I needed to do was hook the blue and white plug to the blue wire on the adapter not the blue wire from the blue plug. The blue white wire controls the amp appa
  2. I'm having a similar issue. I installed the AVIC N4 and the BTB200. The P-bus cable is plugged into the "BALCK" hole in the bluetooth adapter, which is the furthest one from the power source. Then I have this plugged into the BLUE hole in the hide-away unit. No problems pairing the phones. When I make a call I cannot hear the other person but they have no trouble hearing me. Any suggestions? I'm wondering perhaps the bluetooth unit is defective? Just on the off chance I messed up or the wiring was messed up I unplugged it from the "black" hole in the bluetooth unit and plugged it into the
  3. N4. I'm going to double check the wiring tomorrow. UPDATE: So took the whole thing apart and found that even with glue and a twist tie the wire in the magic hole had come out. Plugged it back in and added even more glue and everything works great now! Thanks for all the info. On a side note this avic N4 is replacing a N1. The N1 was professionaly installed. The way the installer hacked it was he smily grounded the parking brake wire from what I can see. Don't have the original material so not sure if he did anything else.
  4. So I put a wire into the "magic hole" and then grounded it. I grounded the parking brake wire. When I turn the car on and go to system info It says the parking break is on even thought the parking brake is not on. As soon as I get over 10 mph the system info say parking break is off and the buttons get grayed out. As soon as I slow down it says the parking break is on again. I get the feeling a wire came loose or I did it wrong OR there is some kinda software programming that calculates the speed based on either the gyroscope of gps. The only reason I needed the bypass to work was to be
