please excuse the dumb question but i just got the D2 2 months ago and i have the 1.2 version of the dvd's how do these CNDV-60MP compare to the 1.2 I have? is it a more recent version..should I consider upgrading?? thanks

no one's pissed...i dunno where you got that from.. i was just explaining why i choose both options...
-
actually my ipod is charging with the ipod adaptor and i would rather control it from the ipod then the actual unit so im happy with the rca cable
-
to be honest with you the interface sucks a$$....it only shows the first 8 letters of the artist, so you might as well stick to just the RCA cable i bought the Z1 and i will probably install it in these next couple of days; i heard the Z1 is much better with the ipod adaptor than the D2 but as far as the D2 is concerned, i would recommend just the RCA cable since the ipod adaptor is so limited

so how do i actually connect to sirius once I have the adaptor? i read on the SIRIUS website that we need The ID/ESN number from your SIRIUS receiver. A major credit card. Have your SIRIUS tuner installed with the antenna facing skyward. Turn your SIRIUS tuner on and tune it to channel 184. where do we get this ESN number from, if we don't have a sirius faceplate?

i'm not exactly a pro when it comes to the system b/c i've only had my d2 for less than a month, but i can tell you i got my d2 from www.amazon.com for around 700-750 (i forget the exact number...) and as far as the ipod connector, i have 2 one is the CD-IB100II for the ipod music and then I have the Ipod RCA cable for the playback of videos (http://cgi.ebay.com/APPLE-IPOD-TRIPLE-R ... dZViewItem) i switch back and forth between the 2 cables...one for the videos one for just the music hope this helps a bit

well, in the meantime i upgraded from the D2 to the Z1 and now i really want sirius satellite....my wife got me for x-mas the whole sirius kit with a detachable faceplate and the whole 9 yards.... will the SIR-PNR2 be enough for full functioning? b/c if i can get away with just the SIR-PNR2 for 80 bucks, i will let my wife use her own present and since the adapter seems to be just a plain white box, where is the actual antenna? excuse the stupid questions but i never really dealt with satellite radio before... thanks fellas

im seeing there aint much of a price difference betweent the d1 and d2 actually on ebay the d1's go for 700 bucks, and i got the d2 for 750 bucks i dont really know the difference between d1 and d2, but i might as well go for the D2 if the difference is only 50 bucks

well, i did it on my a4 last month....on my sister's jetta this weekend and then my dad's camry in a couple of weeks the a4 i didnt finish the job b/c i cou;dnt find the speed sensor so I gave up..it works fine without it im guessing for the camry i would need the wire harness and dash din as well...?
-
i got me the D2, my sister wanted it now my dad says he wants it, holy crap i should become a vendor since my dad moved from queens to cali last week, it's safe to say HE NEEDS a nav system, he doesnt know his way around just curious, would the D2 fit a 1996 camry? does anyone have the unit on? b/c if it doesnt fit, i would have to look at other brands....but to be honest, i prefer the d2 over all other brands....for 700-750 bucks, it's a steal
-
so Dubbedown, all you ended up buying was the wire harness, right? you didnt have to buy a dash double din like i did for my 2003 audi a4? b/c i plan on installing the D2 on my sister's jetta this weekend, and i hope i wont realize in the middle of the install that i should've purchased the dash double din im going by your advice here on avic411, ppl said there is no need for one
-
nice, thanks a lot bro another 60-70 bucks out of my pocket... but i'd rather use the steering wheel volume keys than the D2
-
i think someone was saying the stereo buttons on the steering wheel become useless (volume and track change) is that the case, or can they be connected to the D-2?
-
got mine from hookedontronics for 1600 shipped you wont find new ones for much cheaper....maybe 15-20 bucks but more or less that's the range
-
anyone? i guess i will end up using the Z1 antenna, just be safe
