Otherwise, the disc may not be recognized by the built-in DVD drive. ❒ You cannot use a CD-R (-RW) containing MP3 files or Audio data (CD-DA part) for importing pictures. ❒ When storing pictures on a CD-R (-RW), create a folder named “Pictures†in the CD-R (- RW), and store the picture files in this folder. (Up to 200 picture files can be used in total, including pic
  2. when i imported the pictures to my avicz1, the picture is not displayed full screen. my picture was resized to 500x240. am i missing something? can i store my pictures to my avicz1 HD? thank you.
  3. I spoke to the Long Beach CA office. The manager/supervisors were either "unavailable" or "out of the office." However, I got transfered to someone in the service/operations department who knew much much more and he told me what to specifically tell the warranty department, and authorized the work. marful, my z1 is in the long beach office last friday for the 3rd times. i spoke to sal, he's the lead operation technician. a lot of us has this problem but there's no cure yet or couldn't be duplicated it, he told me. i have a feeling that pioneer will exchange another one for me
  4. i have suv, nissan pathfinder 2005. i sent my z1 to pioneer today. i got a chance to speak to one of their lead operation technician. he is just as puzzled as us. a lot of consumers like us has this particular problems. pioneer couldn't figure it out. their work around is getting an exchange to the customers for now. if they can't fix it, how can we. will keep you updated when i get my z1 back. good luck to you!
  5. i really couldn't help on your z2. to be honest with you, i don't want to send my z1 back to pioneer. it's working great, i can live without the music files on it. it's fustrating to see the freeze screen. well, since my z1 still under warranty, i'm giving another shot. send your z2 in for warranty service. good luck.
  6. correction to all my posts. i mentioned ripping music cd to the HD in mp3. according to pioneer, it's not mp3 format. they won't tell. so, let's just call it music files from now. just got off the phone with pioneer. i gave all the details and they said to send it in. good thing they're located a few miles from me. will keep you updated.
  7. mine was NTF too. they reset my z1 but my mp3s are still there. it didn't last a whole day and my z1 freezes at startup. now they're going to exchange another one for me since this is my second visit. i won't get it til end of the week. will keep you guys post. i hope yours don't act up intermittent. good luck. hello there. it has been weeks since i've haven't update this thread and i’m not sure if there’s a resolution, yet. i'm going to reply to my own quote and update you what i know on this infamous "freeze at startup". well, it took pioneer 3 weeks just to get an
  8. install your z1 without a bypass to find out if the problem continues to be the same.
  9. usually 5-7 business days. if pioneer says NTF (no trouble found) and reset it, most likely your z1 will have the same problem. which happens to mine. send it back to them.
  10. mine was NTF too. they reset my z1 but my mp3s are still there. it didn't last a whole day and my z1 freezes at startup. now they're going to exchange another one for me since this is my second visit. i won't get it til end of the week. will keep you guys post. i hope yours don't act up intermittent. good luck.
  11. i'm not sure it's heat related. of course pioneer didn't find any problem in their first repair. that's what they claimed. to me it's BS. well, i took my z1 back to them. this time they'll replace it since it's intermittent problem. i'm not sure the exchange is a new or refurbish. i hope it'll work for good. for all you guys experiencing the same problem, i recommend you send it back to pioneer if you still have the mfr warranty. some of the guys posted on the forum, it's a work around procedure, but when the problem comes back, it's very frustrating.
  12. late last night i was driving home and my z1 started to skip when playing mp3. when i got home, i turn off the engine and turn back on, my z1 froze. it freezes today as i drove to work. i can't do anything at all. i'm sending it back again for repair. i hope this time they'll find a problem.
  13. finally i got my z1 installed. it's about 90 degrees today and some how my z1 is working. so far no freeze at startup. it's hard to say that temperature has to do with it. pioneer said they found nothing and resetted my z1. all my information and mp3s are intact. could this be true? i think pioneer knew what the problem is but not disclosing the information to the public.
  14. BS is right. i have a feeling that i'll be sending it back to pioneer on a same problem.
  15. i got my z1 back from pioneer today. i have not yet install. this is what they wrote in the service comment: NTF, RESET UNIT. i called pioneer to find out what does it mean. he said my z1 is no-trouble-found (NTF), only a reset is done. all my mp3s are gone. they tried to duplicate the problem and didn't find any. he also mentioned to connect my z1 to a regulated power supply and try a different ground source. well, i'll let you guys know when i get it installed soon.
