  1. I have a Z1 and a Z2... can I use the same disk I burned with the gracenote update on it for both units or is it a different update for both?
  2. Does the Z2 firmware update fix the bluetooth echo?
  3. Started to look through the 35 pages of this post and gave up so I am just gunna ask. What are ya'll using for a burning program? (I noticed it said you cant use the "built-in Windows burner".) And the "burn as an image" could someone explain that please! Didnt really wanna mess with my Z2 when the bypass first became available, but now that I see it's workin for everyone I'm gunna giver a try.
  4. VSS is hooked up... as far as I know. Z2's speedo works great, distance measuring works great... I'm assuming the VSS wire's hookes up. Oh, and I get a speed pulse on the calibration screen. Have checked grounds quickly... seemed ok. I'll check again if thats the most obvious fix.
  5. Move??? Thats all you can come up with? Thanks "tips" Anyone got any USEFUL information?
  6. Bypassable if your a hacker!
  7. My Z2's buzzing at idol and the buzz/whine increases as the engine RPM rise. Any ideas as to why this may be happening? Anyone with a Z1 or 2 in or around Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. I originally had a Z1 and the nav was always off by about 50-100 meters and always placing me that 50-100 meters south of where I actually was. I now have a Z2... same damn thing. Only here in Grande Prairie though, everytime I go 100+ km's from here it corrects itself... then when I return it's out again. I've reset the 3D calibration several times. Dosn't do anything.
  8. Think it could be cause I live way the "F" up north and the GPS Sat is hittin it at a funny angle or somethin silly like that? I dunno just a thought!
  9. Allright well the VSS wire is good to go. Any other things U think it could be? Should I reset the 3d calibration or whatever it is?
  10. So I'm guessing the Z2's speedo has nothing to do with the VSS wire beoing hooked up?
  11. Ya, the VSS wire is hooked up... as far as I know. The Z2's speedo works great, so I'm guessing its hooked up right. I had it installed so I'm not posative
  12. My nav on my Z2 is off by 75 meters or so... and it wont correct itself. I've tried the "Modify Current Location" deal but as soon as I start movin it jumps back out of place. Does your antenna have to be level? Mines just above the windshield on the drivers side roof and on almost a 45 degree angle. Have anything to do with it? Also, did the XM module change for the Z2? My XM button wont highlight so I can push it. I just updated from the Z1 to the Z2!
  13. Fort Lauderdale eh... sounds nice! I have a bit of installing experience but with older vehicles. My trucks got onstar, XM and the stock BOSE system... I'm hookin up the XM, bluetooth, voice recognition and keeping the stock speaker set up for now. If someone could post some specific install instructions for me I'll do it all myself. And how to set up the steering wheel controls I have the "Peripheral PESWIX Universal Steering Wheel Radio Control Interface" Everythings been a nightmare since I got this thing... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  14. Whats happenin guys!! Well I live in Canada eh! I've had my Z1 for just over 2 weeks now eh. As I'm finding out the features sure are limited up here but whatever I love the unit still. It was "professionally" installed... ya right, I wish I woulda found this site before I decided to have it installed instead of doin it myself. First off, the installers destroyed my drivers side mirror on my new truck ('06 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax) pulling it into the shop the ass end slid over (there was snow on the ground eh) and crushed the mirror between the truck and the door... great start! The first t
