  1. I believe the 04 Escalade also needs an atenna adapter. I quick cheat is to go to crutchfield's web site and select your vehicle in the outfit my car drop down under car audio. On the right side of the page there will be a way to see install accessories it usually lists the correct adapters for your vehicle the link on the page is called "view all install gear".
  2. Be careful with Bose. Most bose systems in newer cars are 2 ohm speakers and most pioneer units are 4 ohms. I would go for the simple install and just use existing amp through a wire harness that matches your car to an after market unit. If you bypass the factory amp you may want to change your speakers as well to something other than Bose.
  3. Depending on when your 07 was made it may have a LAN system on it and you cannot hook a head unit directly to it. If so you will need a converter, PAC audio also make one of those. There are several kinds. Some keep all the factory toys and some just get the radio to work. I have the PAC audio one in my 2008. I have onstar and steering controls had to use two diff converters together to get them all to work. Dont forget you lose more than just the door chimes and onstar if you dont use the correct converter. On some vehicles you also lose tire pressure info, it can mess with airbags a
  4. SLA should only be used to level out different inputs. If you are listening to your IPOD and go into SLA you will notice you can set it different fom XM, etc. The only option not avaliable is FM. The point is so you do have large volume changes when switching sources. If you are cranking it up to get more power you are also adding distortion to your system. Loud is just the interan power on the head unit. Can be used it is not the cleanest power but on low or med it can make up for some small amp issues and not trash your sound quality.
  5. I had the same issue with blackberry. This is how I fixed it. I created a category called Car and selected all my contacts on the BB I wanted to see in the car and gave them this extra category. Once you do this on your BB go the the bluetooth settings and select you Pioneer. Go to options. There is a line called address book transfer. Change this to the category you created and save. Now transfer a clean phone book to the pioneer and you should just have what you want. Hope that helps.
