  1. By the way, the two antenna leads that are plugged into the back of the stock stereo on your GTI are both for your AM/FM, not for satellite. VW radios use a diversity receiver, which utilizes two antennas that are both located in your rear window. If you have OEM satellite radio, the antenna for it is in the sharkfin antenna on the roof. The Sirius module is located under a plastic cover under the passenger seat. It has one antenna lead going into it, which you can use for the Pioneer XM or Sirius modules. As has already been stated, just take the plastic Fakra connector housing off of it and
  2. I have the hardware bypass in place, but they wouldn't know that since I didn't send the harness in with the unit.
  3. Just an update to the issues I was experiencing (same as the OP): I sent my F90BT in to Pioneer for repairs on 6/19 and received my unit back from them on 7/1 (I know I received my same unit back, since it still had my custom black knob on it ). They said they replaced the "Monitor Board" and updated the firmware to 2.006. It seems to be working much better now, so I am happy. I will have to see if it holds up, though, since my unit originally worked fine for the first few weeks and then started going to crap. My fingers are crossed in the hope that the problems with this unit are behind
  4. DO NOT consider using any other harness besides the Connects2 harness. It allows OEM-like integration, requires no programming, and is smaller and cheaper than the PAC stuff. Trust me, you will LOVE it!
  5. Yeah, at this point, I would be happy if I only had a second or two of delay. Most times, touching the screen does absolutely nothing anymore - just like in the OP's video. It even exhibits this behavior when in Testmode. My unit is definitely bad and will be sent to Pioneer.
  6. My F90BT is doing the same exact thing as the OP's unit. It worked great for about a month, then has progressively gotten worse and worse. After less than two months of use, it is now to the point of being unusable and I am going to have to un-install it and send it back to Pioneer for warranty service. I am beyond frustrated with this thing and have almost put my fist through the screen on more than one occasion, which is too bad since I love the unit when it is working properly. Unfortunately, it never works properly anymore. I regret this purchase already, and will think twice before
  7. That unit does not provide steering wheel controls. The Connects2 does everything this unit does, but in a much smaller package, plus it provides the steering wheel controls - all for the same price. Now, which one makes more sense to buy?
  8. Nope, it's not possible. Sorry. You can use the factory antenna with the Pioneer sat tuners, though.
  9. I would try reposting this over in the Car Audi forums on VW Vortex (www.vwvortex.com). Those guys will be able to answer your VW specific questions.
  10. The other "multi-block" you had on the other end your harness was an ISO connector. Those are standard in Europe but not in the US. We have bare wires on the end of our harness. I am looking at my harnesses right now, as I haven't installed my F90BT yet, and other than the fact that your wires are a little shorter, it looks just like mine. Mine has no fuses on it anywhere.
  11. Yep, this would replace all of the PAC stuff. This harness comes with 2 European standard (I think) ISO connectors on it. You just cut those off to get the bare wires we need for our harness. If I were you, I would definitely dump the PAC stuff on eBay and get this adapter!
  12. This is exactly what I did. I really wanted the Kenwood 8120, but I couldn't justify the additional expense. I think $640 for all of the features the F90BT has is well worth it - a steal, in fact!
  13. A better solution than the PAC adapters can be found in the Connects2 Steering Wheel adapter (part # CTSVW002). It is better in several ways: 1) you only need to buy this one adapter (instead of the 2 that you need if you use the PAC adapters), as it provides the steering wheel controls plus the 12V switched power, the illumination signal, the reverse signal, and the speed signal; 2) this adapter is cheaper than either of the 2 PAC adapters; 3) this adapter enables the Audio screen in the MFD (it will say "Pioneer" in the MFD, actually) so all of your buttons work as they should. Here is a
