  1. Exactly when is this "introductory period"? Will it be a pre-sale period or will it be the first period of availabilty?
  2. Glad it helped. I have two of these and it hasn't happened to me (yet!), but it did happen to my cousin's - which is the one we 'fixed'. I wonder what causes it??
  3. That's what I figure. Why on earth would they do that (break testmode) though? Don't they know that if off the shelf were the only option (without the fixes of the GENIUSES here at Avic411), many of us wouldn't have bought the F-series to begin with. PIONEER: hackability is key to sales until you guys can do a quality job on your own. Maybe the newly announced ones don't need help, but the F-Series sure does.
  4. A guy in another thread downloaded the 2.7 EU update (he's from the UK) and reports that 2.7 broke testmode - so no more access to hacks for a while if 3.0 does the same. If this is true, I'm guessing all the nice hacks will be gone after 3.0 and no way to immediately get them back! I may be keeping 2.0 if that's true.
  5. I fixed a friend's that was doing the same thing. 1st, I tried to go into Testmode - that wouldn't complete either so next I put in the card from Pioneer w/2.0. It installed and I was able to boot up. I went back into testmode (which now worked) and put his hacks back in. Worked like a charm.
  6. I've noted before that I've had my P10 connected to two other HUs (FH-P8000BT, DEH-P7000BT) besides the F90 and it worked perfectly - including preset info and song info. The issues aren't in the tuner - it is in the F-series. It's not the F-series. I have XM and the F-series does these things just fine. I also have a D2. It doesn't show the info with Sirius - it did with XM. From what I understand (at least according to my installer), Sirius is the problem.
  7. Is March still the latest? A few posts above look like there might be a 'May' one coming...
  8. Looks like its time for another update. I'm going to start on these next week. What's the status on this 'other' update? I was gonna update my 2 90BT's but figured I'd wait with this hint of an improvement!
  9. No one is talking dual zone - I specifically acknowledged that about 3 or 4 posts up.
  10. hmmm....anyone done it? Since I'd have to remove my dash (again) I'd love to know how well it works.
  11. I wasn't interested in Dual Zones so much as being able to play a movie on the head unit and simultaneously output it to the headrests....can that be done?

    New F310BT

Got it....I'll be keeping my F90BT.

    New F310BT

    link doesnt work for me...
  14. I was trying to find this exact link to share - but couldn't. I always wondered if it would actually work satisfactorily.
  15. Good question. I'd like to see this answer too!
  16. I went from a D2 to the F90BT and I would NEVER go back. The startup is slow to allow input of commands but the radio starts up within a few seconds - not a big deal for me...especially since the D2 had to go through the same old 'startup splash screen routine' that the D2 did. I honestly don't think it's THAT different at startup. Afterwords it is so much nicer that any additional delay is far outweighed but the screen quailty, bluetooth, ipod, etc. A lot of negativity about the F-series around here, but I'm more than happy with mine. As a matter of fact, I had the D@ for several year
  17. I switched out from a D2 to the 90BT. Definately a different harness.
  18. Too bad this calls for opeing the unit back up...after installing and tweaing two of mine and one for a friend, I have little interest in reopening anytime soon.
  19. Very nice information, thanks! Now, here's to hoping that all of my hacks will still work....
  20. Wow Petey, don't be so touchy man! I'm not married to the F90 so I'm not defending it just because I have one but 100 reboots? If it were only one of the two units I'd have suggested it was defective. Since it was both, I still say it was the install (s). If your Kewood's are so rock solid and you are so happy, what are you doing here? I just sold my old TV and haven't been back to that forum since
  21. wow. a couple of days and a hundred hangups/errors/ ipod drops...sounds to me like a poor install (or two installs in this case). I don't have any problems other than the occasions (once a week) ipod drop. All I have to do is disconnect the ipod and reconnect., that's it. My two work great, I have no idea why there are such vast differences in experience. I came real close to the Kenwood, certainly was the only other choice for me (Garmin is KING!) The UI of the Pioneer sold me to give it a chance and I am certainly glad that I did. Cheaper too! Good luck
