  1. Does the F90BT have that ability to display voltage reading for the car? I know some of the Pioneer models can read voltages just wondering if the F-Series can.
  2. Got my knurled stainless knob put it on and give it a go and all I can say is this sucks! OK, so let me explain…. Before I knew about the replacement knob that Tom makes, I bought a Sony wired remote because the original knob on the F90BT was tiny and difficult to use especially with gloves. Now with Tom’s replacement knob installed its awesome, easy to grip and manipulate even with gloves on! Everything works great! Now the sucky part is I have this Sony remote that I bought that is sitting on the counter taunting me… Not sure if I’ll every use/install the remote now that I have
  3. Some cars have speed compensation volume controls so the vss may be a connection in the radio.
  4. Had mine on the steering column and it sounded bad, everyone said I was cutting out. I put it up on the headliner to the left of the rearview and it works great! I can even have the fan setting on high with no issues. Even a slightly louder than a whisper could be understood.... suprised the hell out of me espcially since she heard it....
  5. I am suprised no company makes an infared reciever that plugs in.
  6. I am also paranoid and a bad speller
  7. Blow my speakers. I have seen or better yet heard some shops actually playing a customers stereos while they worked on other cars. It did not seem as though they were admiring it or just checking it out but actually cranked it up so they have something to listen to in the shop..... Then there are the valets......
  8. I have a password installed already but that only comes into play when the unit is diconnected from power or is reset. I think I'll just put a hidden switch on the ignition wire and call it a day. I am not to savy with editing the operating system.
  9. With all my other aftermarket radios, I was able to take the faceplate off (non-navi) when I bring the car into service to ensure they don't mess with my radio. Is there any way to lock or turn off the F90BT when I bring the car in for service or when I valet the car?
  10. Sweet I really like the stainless knurled, guess that's why I bought it
  11. I would not worry, they'll fix it and take the money out of your account...
  12. Order now. I'm making it right now. Thanks Payment sent for stainless steel knurled knob! I can't wait! (I really can't) Thanks!

    Ipod cable

I don't have an Ipod so it did not really matter, but might (and that's reaching) at a later date get one.... so not so retarded from my point of view. As a matter of fact, I removed all the cables that I was not using such as the reverse input wire, all the speaker wire outputs since I am using AMPs etc.... Made for a cleaner install plus if I want I can put it back in later.
  15. Is stainless knurled possible?
  16. Sorry it was late, meant 2008, duh to me....

    Ipod cable

I read the same thing so I did not hook it up the stock cable that came with the F90BT, I'll wait to see what people say in this thread. I read someone had good luck with a rocketfish brand from best buy.
  18. So no stainless knurled? I was hoping for one of those....
  19. I have the US version. If I remember correctly the radio only has a blue dot but it was made in July 98. The box sticker that states 2.0 is yellow and by the serial number on the box it has white, orange and blue.
  20. Hi John, thanks for repling once you do get it on could you tell me your opinion. I am suprised, I would have thought more people would have invested in this type of protection. Is the screen that durable?
  21. Great Thanks! Looking forward to seeing it.
  22. Does anyone have a pict of a knurled knob? Interested in one, I think it would work better when you have gloves on.
