Look up you model on the Pioneer website. If you have a US model however you probably don't have tmc Cheers 34by151
  2. You cant copy the BT it is installed with the OS. The best way to load new bt software is with the update feature in the phone, however this does not relate to this thread. There are lots of threads on this do a search for them. The only file that is read is sys.txt. This must have the correct device line for your model. Samples are provided for most models in the apl2\igo directory. You may rename the one for you model to sys.txt if you wish Cheers 34by151
  3. I'd go with the second one -34by151
  4. Same as before it will keep running, the problem is in the powerup in Ezrider.exe Top Right corner of the map screen (to the right of the compass) Cheers 34by151
  5. No that wont work, however I think I have solved it, well at least put in a work around. Where I got to in testing before was attempting to stop the tripcomp starting if you did not have a full gps lock. This worked most of the time but sometimes you will notice the gps gains then looses lock a few times before it stays locked on. IE the status goes green then back to yellow then green again So what I have done for the new version is 1. Tripcomp will not start if the GPS does not have a full lock, As shown in the GPS status as "Accuracy=high" 2. If you try to use the tripcomp befo
  6. The trip computer is code in the skin but it relies on code in the exrider.exe. Ezrider is the pioneer version of the igo map application. This is not the same as the normal exe for igo as it contains code related to hardware in the avic. The problem is, If the functions in ezrider relating to the the trip computer are called prior to the gps lock then the trip computer code in ezrider will crash So you have to wait for the gps to lock on before moving if you want to use the trip computer. In the new release you also have max speed, fulecalc. So both of these are effected. Fule
  7. Update01 is the V16.1 maps Update 02b is the skin Update03 is the V17.1 maps So if you want V17maps and the skin apply Updates 02b and 03 If you want to do it all in one go download updates 02b and 03 Extract 02b to your hdd Follow the instructions on page 23 up to step 5 Copy the files extracted for 02b to the update dir on the sd card (with the folder structure) Resume instructions on page 23 Cheers 34by151
  8. You have a US model the has different hardware to the OZ ones. So putting on Oz or UK bluetooth patches is probally not a good thing, as is trying to downgrade them. Try to put on the patches for your US model. If they wont load there are lots of threads dealing with this where you will you find lots of info. Just search for bluetooth Cheers 34by151

If you have a model with inbuilt TMC and are in a TMC tramsmitted in your area, yes Cheers 34by151
  10. Thanks from both of us and from me I can't accept credit for anything in the current release unless you are running the Aussie version that is. I hope you will like the new one as much we have worked very hard so far to put in just about everything we can think of but at the same time keeping the look and feel as well as the ease of use. cheers 34by151
  11. I can confirm Mapchanger - done Mutes defaults - done Tripcomputer to my knowledge, nobody has solved the power up bug other than to wait for the gps to acquire before moving off. The has nothing to do with this or any other mod, it is a fault in the pioneer ezrider.exe. We spent a lot of time attempting to get around the issue without success. Cheers 34by151
  12. If I remember right you have a US version? If that is right don't put a UK or OZ BT patch on it as it does not have the same hardware. If you must patch the BT do so with the correct version IF the BT is not working there are plenty of threads relating the US BT issues, do a search Cheers 34by151
  13. I don't know what you mean by page 40 this thread only has 29 pages If you are having bluetooth issues it will be because MSN has been powered up, go into testmode and delete the msnd files from the save directory. Also check you have the correct device in sys.txt Cheers 34by151

TMC info is common to all as it s a transmission standard (packet data) as for Mods no as there is not test mode for the F10 as yet Cheers 34by151
  15. Also adding the split screen and the speedo screen are detailed in there own thread, just search for them Cheers 34by151
  16. Just apply the V3Updates in order, follow the instructions in the thread and all will be ok Cheers 34by151
  17. Not Really till we finish debugging. We will have it out as soon as we can, It's is really worth the wait. To give you an idea how big a rewrite this is, the menu alone has over 2000 lines of code. Just about all the code has been rewritten or tweaked. We have a list of minor bug we are working through, and finalising the graphics. We will be calling for beta testers soon. As the new skin is common to all regions we will need testers in all regions. Cheers 34by151
  18. Just Apply the updates in order skipping 01 as that is the V16.1 maps. 3d buildings and cruise ar in the skin Cheers 34by151
  19. If you read or search this thread you will find all the answers The files are here http://www.4shared.com/dir/24382274/615 ... dates.html Cheers 34by151

The TMC data type is part of the FM data stream transmitted by the radio station. Pioneer in there wisdom have left out most of the TMC code so you don't get much info. For example the TMC message is jut text it does not do anything I have finalised the TMC mods for the new hybrid skin and am currently debugging the graphics. Included is the ability to exclude stations and manual tune. In manual mode you just tune to a station either by stepping up/down on the tuner or searching up/down. When you find a station it will search for a TMC data stream. Once if it is not found you get a "No Pr
  21. I cant comment on the F500 unoficial update as I have not seen it or done one myself. I recomend you get the oficial update, you are probally best to get the one that matches your model IE US / UK or OZ. I'd expect the US and UK ones to be cheeper Cheers 34by151
  22. Yeah EU and OZ are mostly the same. The main reason for the different models is to stop the oz units using features eliminated from oz models none of which effect anything in the nav. BTW you still need to set the device line in sys.txt correctly For everyone with non Oz models, the new V3 skin works on all units out of the box. Longer do we have 4 versions for the hardware types; US With MSN US without MSN TMC Non TMC The installer will ask you what Model you have (ie 500,700,900 ect) Then it asks for your hardware region (US,EU,OZ) From these answers it sets up the sys.t
  23. That is correct it comes with the V15.1 map (2 generations behind). The main reason for updating is that nobody is doing any work on the V2 firmware. So if you want mods you will have to do that yourself. V3 is an updated version of Igo (V8.3) so that also comes with new features. Al ot of the new mods exploit these features. Also the latest maps are 16.1 which are almost 2 years old now. I doubt you will have a new map update for the old version into the future. If you think the $200 is to steep look into the unofficial update on this forum Cheers 34by151
  24. The only reason for rebooting due to map is if they are missing, so i don't think this relates to you map update. I suggest you read the unofficial update thread as the answers you need will more than likely be there. The reason for updating the device line is it tells igo (the nav software) what model you have. This sets up the hardware used. Ie using a uk or aus model on a us unit will attempt to start the TMC hardware that you do not have. Always make sure you have the original device in sys.txt when every you replace sys.txt cheers 34by151
