dang it no beeps, guess that means connection is wrong.

So I hooked up the speed sensor on my D3 but I can't figure out how to know if it's working or not. If anyone knows how to tell please let me know.

so D3 did not display battery or signal for you either huh, but everything else works fine. Oh well.

Hooked up my brand new D3 to the PC to give it a test run and everything appears to be working fine. Also my Nokia N80 and the Bluetooth (CD-BTB200) are working great except that the D3 does not display battery and signal strength. Tried out the wife Blackberry 8100 and everything works flawlessly, voice, phone book push, signal and battery levels display nicely on the D3. So has anybody seen the D3 display the signal and battery strength using N80? or am I out of luck on this one. Thanks in advance guys.

Does anybody know where I can find the VSS wire on a 2002 Acura MDX, gonna be installing D3 this weekend. Also Is the tachometer wire different from the speed sensing wire, Thanks in advance guys.

OK how about displaying video on rear monitors from external video source or Pioneer DVD changer and at the same time using navigation on the front, is it possible on the D3? Read the whole D3 manual but could not find anything.

Thinking of getting the D3 over the Z2 so I'm Comparing the two. One of the things I can't figure out is if the D3 is able to display brand icons on the map, for example if I'm driving through a highway somewhere will it display the Mcdonalds logo where a Mcdonalds is located?

I have an 02 non-Navigation, which has thesame dash as an 03. I would not touch A/C controls or stock screen just replace stock stereo. I read somewhere here that someone installed a Z1 on a MDX and said it came out real nice. They were going to post pictures but never happened. The stock stereo is double din size so I'm assuming only minor modification is needed. Hopefully someone will post some pictures.

Man I can't decide whether to take the easy route and go with N3 with a Metra single DIN kit or do some chopping (since no double DIN kit available)to the MDXs dash and get the Z1. I've looked everywhere for some install pictures of the Z1 or even the D1,D2 on the MDX but no luck. If anyone has any pictures of any of these double din units on a MDX please post them here or if you want to email them please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm picking up the AVIC-Z1 in a couple of weeks. I've been reading everything about hacking the hd which was the first thing I wanted to do so I can swap it for a much bigger one to be able to store more music in it, but from what I read so far it's not lookng too promising, and I hear the Ipod interface is sluggish. I was wondering will the Z1 read MP3s burned on a DVD? especially a dual layered DVD.
