  1. Can't find an orange/violet wire, and I've pulled open the massive wire bundle that goes into the floor.. any more clarification you can give me? Other people on G35driver.com are saying that its the purple wire, but all of them have been coupes and I've heard that its different from coupes to sedans.
  2. yeah, I did that think its just the ground wire nneeds its own ground spot, other G35 drivers have said this
  3. Alright, got any ideas as to why the camera isn't showing any video anyway? Or any experience on the PAC-SWI-PS? I can program the type (3), but I can't program the buttons Have the ground connected into my harness with the others, the white has the two resistors which I soldered wires onto so I could tap into the harness for the controls, yellow goes to ground as well as to a tap on the harness
  4. Well, there was one orange in the driver's side kick panel, and that was it. I did use the purple/white wire to hook it up, and yes I did use the brown RCA to plug into the unit. The camera has a red and black, 12V switched and ground, so I just touched the ground to my steering column and put the red into the red behind the dash, so I'm pretty sure I hooked it up correctly..
  5. Hey, I just installed a F90BT in my 2004 G35 sedan, and everything works great except for two things. The steering wheel controls and the backup camera. I think there are two issues with the backup camera, as when its plugged in and I select backup camera from the source menu, all it says is warning image may be reversed, and if I have the backup camera set to ON, when I put the car in reverse, it does nothing. I was told that the backup wire was the Orange wire in the drivers side kick panel, and I tapped it but it doesn't seem to do anything. Any ideas? With the steering wheel c
  6. yeah, the only thing I really need help with is really vehicle specific so I don't really think i'm going to be able to find someone, but I'm confident that I can do it on my own thanks for the info though
  7. Alright... Thats kinda what I figured, but Where would you reccomend I get power for the camera then? Straight from the reverse light? Sorry to kind of thread jack, but this is pretty much to the point
  8. awesome! Thanks a lot for all the help so does that mean I can run that as the power to the camera? or do you not think it would hold enough current?
  9. alright, thanks a lot! I'll wait until you find out for me
  10. Know where I can tap into a reverse signal wire in a 2004 G35? And the VSS wire is green/white right? Thanks Pete
  11. Just west of Unadilla in a town where cows outnumber people called Gilbertsville
  12. You live in Binghamton? I live just up 88 between Oneonta and Sidney.... Actually going home this weekend, but decided to wait until I get back to ROC to do the install, because I don't want to get stranded on Sunday at home because I didn't get it done, as I have class at 9 on Monday
  13. anyone tried using a USB extension cable? (Male to female and like 10 feet long) I'm thinking of running an extension cable from the dash to my console, so I can hook up my ipod if I want, or an ext hard driver if its under 500mA or whatever else.
  14. lol one of my roomates lives in Wantagh and its a 7 hour drive.... don't think thats going to happen BTW, when you drove to cortland you probably drove directly by my hometown in middle of nowhere ny Thanks for the offer, but not so sure thats gonna happen lol
