didnt read through tthe whole thread but how bout a small laptop with a laptop connect card from at&t or whatever service yoiu have for cell phone.. used in conjunction with the slingbox.... check their website.. video quality should be great and if you have a way to connect the pc to the avic then you can buy a wireless mouse or a wireless pen mouse to change the channels in my mind thats butter on bread as long as you can go from hdmi to rca or vga to rca. the sling box allows you to use your cable at home. it plugs in the sling box and plugs in to your ethernet at home and is the

i have a 2000 ls and was also confused about grounding the seemingly random wire to chassis ground... i did nothing to the wire, left as is and unit works flawlessly. so i have no idea why they put this in the intructions.. FYI

i just installed mine a few days ago and it works great with very minimal if any at all lag. i was actually surprised how well it worked considering what ive read about the earlier model. the only thing that i have not figured out is during the programming stage, how to skip a button .. i would like to use the answer call for the bluetooth.. anyone know how ..

thank you for all of the help, if i understand correctly, i need to use the line outs which are rca's? im sure they will be labled correctly, i dont have the harness in hand as of yet but it came with the unit free, and i did add in the comments that it has the factory nav. im almost thinking professional help may be the best route but some installers wont install a product not by them and they will not warranty anything. hmmmmm. how is the rca's to connect to the harness/or the wires to actual speakers, sorry im so noobish

I have the stock Nav in a 2004 linciln LS as stated before, dont want to start a new thread but i have the THX sound and was wondering if all speakers will still work with this unit .....

ya i figured, im not sure if it would either it would be nice to have it be compatible not only for the ease of installation but for the way the car looks. im not a fan of having the antenna on my dash or otherwise visible. i just ordered my avic today so i will have it in a few days. i will let everyone know what i find thanks ,, by the way im a noob!!!!!!!
