  1. It costs half of the Apple's composite cable. I'm sure it wasn't made by Pioneer, this is the worst quality cable I've ever seen. By the way you buy it under the name of Pioneer and costs 20 euros (for this quality it should be 1-2 euro), so a big reprehension goes to them. I'm testing it in these days after resoldering and seems to be OK.
  2. Nice. If soldering won't help, I'll purchase one. Thx.
  3. Ok, I'm talking about this one: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB129LL/B Has this cable a fully working USB connector or is it for charging only?
  4. Ok, let's try it again: Might be a good idea. I just soldered new connectors, but new customers should stay away from Pioneer's Ipod cable. Do you have information if the USB connector of the original Apple composite ipod cable has full functioning and not for charging only? Will it work with the headunit?

  7. So. I had an original Ipod cable. I have disassembled the RCA connectors of it. This is funny. Its quality is terrible. No any soldering, only poor quality pressing.
  8. I am curious if this is true as to why you needed to ask for help on this forum. Then to make a negative comment to one our valued members that tried to offer you a suggestion you should not have needed from anyone here if you have been doing this for years. The idea that anyone would ask for advice then to completely disregard it makes no sense to me. Look. That was not a negative comment. He asked if anybody does read his suggestions. I gave an answer that his suggestion helps nothing in this case. You can have 30 years experience, if you meet something strange you may need to ask for
  9. Exactly. The same problem. Sometimes helps if you disconnect the Ipod, sometimes not. For a long time I thought this problem is caused by the Ipod. Now I'm going to rework the cable (maybe the headunit also). I'll give you the information if it helps.
  10. and that's in response to what comment? out of context it means nothing, AND it's inaccurate. one can easily use a different cable and connect an ipod to the front input AV2 one can also connect the ipod cable audio to either the front or rear RCA OUTPUTS if they're not paying attention, they will physically fit, but they won't work correctly. I count 4 completely different ways to connect an ipod, only 2 of which work, and only one that lets you control it from the AVIC. In your 4 completely different ways neither the left nor the right side speakers won't make any noise. The pe
  11. You cannot connect your IPOD to any other plug. Sorry.
  12. You don't understand me. You cannot connect your to any other plug. This AV input looks like a package. Three RCAs (red, white, yellow) are in a group and marked with a label (AV input). The IPOD cable looks the same (red, white, yellow). The rest of the harness is completely different. By the way this sentence was interresting: Does anybody read my posts? You have your right ipod connector going to the wrong input. He seems to be sure that he's got the solution and nobody can read the labels on the wiring loom. - I cannot hear my radio... - Check if it it is powered on...
  13. I'm experienced in buliding car hifis (more than en years), you can be sure I know what I'm talking about. I have an Ipod Classic 6th gen. I works perfectly for a short time, then once the left side fades once the right side. By the way in the menu of the headunit is an option for aux to choose what kind of source you have connected. "Ipod" has to be set otherwise you hear nothing. If I set to Ipod I can hear music, so it has to be the right input (in fact it is also marked on the cables, the other video input is for reverse cam, the other AV input is in the front of the hu). Also not so d
  14. Does anybody read my posts? You have your right ipod connector going to the wrong input. Check your connections. This is an easy mistake to do as there are several L/R inputs in the back of the harness. Recheck all your connections In fact, your instructions help nothing.
