  1. My unit was fine after level 3 reset for a few days. It is now freezing again. I am 99.9% positive that it has to do with heat. 1st thing in morning no problems freezing, at night i get no problems freezing, If the vehical sits in the sun for a extended period of time I can bet on it freezing. If I run the A/C for a few minutes on a hot day then turn on the unit I get no freezes. So basically if the vehicals cab stays cool then its ok, if its hot the unit will freeze.
  2. So far So good. When the headunit was freezing on me it would do it basicly 1 out of every 4 times I got in the vehical. and as it got hotter in the day I noticed it freezing more often then not. So far no problems. Will see what happens over the next few days as the weather is warming up. Thanks again Ducati
  3. Will try page 175. Thanks for the direction. Will follow up with results.
  4. On a number of occasions, my Z1 has froze on the Boot up screen. It has now become a daily activity. It gets to the Pioneer Screen and thats it. The music will play but you can not push or select any buttons. Just sits on the Pioneer screen. The only way to get ride of this is to hold down the reset button and sometimes that doesn't even work. I feel that the unit does it most when it is hot. I do not get the random bootup screen while driving like some have posted. If the unit makes it past the Pioneer scrren then it will work the complete time until vehical is restarted. Any suggestions?
  5. I mainly listen to rock/metel, every now and then country. cd's and IPOD 2004 Ford F250 crew cab Boston Z6 upfront Boston Pro60 in rear (2) Boston G110 subs JL 500/5 amp Z1 headunit. Thanks for the help. I know it is a hard question to answer because it is all personall pref, but I am looking for a good starting point. so many frequency/wide/narrow options has my head spinning. I know nothing about the frequency so I guess I am looking for a quick fix if it exists?
  6. I have a hard time tuning my EQ. With the Wide1-2/Narrow1-2. I usually start with the flat option then go from there. Some songs sound great, others sound like crap. The main problem is I always get stuck with either really sharp S's or a muffled sound. Is there a base line any of you can post that I can replicate on my unit for all around great sound please.
  7. I think mic placement has something to do with it. I drive a f250 diesel with 38" tires. Lots of road noise and engine noise. My Z1 has done very well. It used to get my 5's and 9's mixed up but that is no longer a problem. Try moving the mic
