  1. I know this post is a little old now but while searching through the forums to find an answer to my own issue, thought I'd give my suggestion for this topic's question while looking around hehe... When I had my F700 installed in my Tahoe, I had alternator whine, AND hissing (when the engine is off). I could never fix the alternator whine but I did fix the hissing. Replacing the stock head unit of my tahoe meant I'd lose all the bells, chimes and alert sounds (things like the "dinging" sound when doors are open, or head lights turned on with engine off, etc..). So for me I needed to p
  2. Hi all, I have a stock F700BT, no mods or anything. I was trying to use the voice commands just today and instead of doing the normal thing it does when you click the center of the volume knob, it makes this beeping noise (like an ERROR type of beep) and doesn't do anything. I figured there must be something wrong with my ipod or the catalog thingy so I went to the AV settings and the VR Catalog Mode square is completely gone - there is nothing in the space that it used to be in. I restarted a couple times, and it's still gone... Anyone else had this happen??

The buzzing was from the internal lights dimmer wheel (2003 tahoe). That dimmer wheel is used to program how loud you want warning chimes and such coming from my scosche replacement wiring harness. I had it set to half intensity and when I turned it up all the way (or off completely) the buzzing went away 100%. As for the alternator whine, I haven't found a solution for it yet. I had the F7
  4. Hi all, I've got a few topics here saved that have instructions for modding certain features and everything, but I am wondering what ORDER I should do this all in? I want to mod a few features, like the clock, the software speed bypass dealio, etc etc...but my unit doesn't have the new firmware yet... Should I update the firmware first (regular update + Bluetooth update), and then move on the doing the Testmode.zip and data.zip stuff? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
