  1. Thanks. I'll give this a shot. I think I have all the songs in only two large folders right now.
  2. I've had the F700BT now for around 8 months. USB and SD MP3 playing has always been a nightmare no matter which firmware I've installed. Currently I'm at the newest one, 3.01. This one is easily the worst yet for MP3 support on SD. My problem is I'll insert the SD card and only the last song that I was listening to will play. Out of 14gb's of MP3's on a 16gb SD I can only play one song once. After that the system completely freezes up until I remove the SD card. Is there a trick to getting the MP3's on an SD card JUST right so the stupid F700 can do whatever it needs to do in order
  3. I just installed the 700BT in a Nissan Maxima with the factory Bose system. At first I used the Metra 7551 harness but with the low 2.2v from the RCA's on the 700BT the volume was just way to low. I had to crank the HU all the way to 62 just to hear the stereo on the highway. I switched to the Metra 7550. This one is not recommended for the Bose amps but the sound is far better than with the 7551. I've not had any distortion at all and the volume is a ton better. As far as any whining? I had none with the 7551 and none so far with the 7550.
  4. Mine does this too. The BT has been working great, but when it dials out, there's no ringing. There's just music and then someone answering the phone. I'd rather have the dialing to know that it's working. Not a big deal, but hopefully they can fix this.
  5. I tried the front input and enabled it yet there was no sound from it. Like black said it looks like such crap with a big white wire sticking out the front I don't want to use it anyway. I guess I missed the RCA inputs on the back. I only saw the outs for the speakers and subs, inputs for rear camera, etc. If there are audio RCA inputs back there I'll just pick up a cheap 3.5mm to RCA adapter and run it like that. I can handle $1.98. http://cgi.ebay.com/3-5mm-to-AV-RCA-Aud ... 1|294%3A50[/i]
  6. I've tried hooking up my Sirius Sportster any way I can and the 700BT won't recognize it. I've used the aux in on the front panel and even tried another adapter I have that works through the IP-BUS connector. Neither one works. Is there no true audio only aux input on this thing? I really don't want to have to spend another $100+ on external Sirius tuners. I also like having the pause and rewind features on the Sportser.
  7. BB versus CC? Lol, it's like the Ford versus Chevy argument. I bought a Nissan.
  8. I was able to pick up the 700BT last Wednesday for $375.18 shipped through Amazon. 6th Ave. was the seller.
  9. The best part? ALL SALES FINAL! Yea, CC's so called sale is a big joke. Lol, I was there last week and saw a F700BT for $599.00. It was the display model! No returns of course. I just got mine for $375.00 shipped from 6th Avenue. I saved almost $300.00 after taxes and I don't have to get one that's been fondled by every car audio enthusiast who's walked in there in the last 6 months.
  10. I know what you mean. When I bought my Maxima a few years ago, I thought there was NO way I'd ever replace the craptacular Bose HU. It ended up breaking so I had no choice. I went to Maxima.org expecting to hear that I was screwed and had to have it installed by pros that would charge $500 etc. 2 weeks later I'd installed a new Pioneer HU myself. Flash forward another year and here I am installing a Pioneer nav unit! I never thought I'd have an in dash nav HU, much less one for $375.00! It's forums like this that save the average Joe like me a Hell of a lot of money. Plus, and it
  11. Well, I just bought one a couple days ago. For $375.00, I'll take my chances. I honestly don't care if it has a few faults when it's half the price of the so called good units. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Pioneer launched a recession priced line of nav units that came with specific instructions that you'll need to visit a site like this one to make it work right.
  12. I got lucky and ordered mine last night. I ended up getting it for $375.18 delivered from Amazon through 6th Avenue. Heh, the price has been jumping around like crazy all month on this unit. This morning I checked again and the price was up to $400.00 plus $15.00 shipping.
