The problem is with the unit. The HIDs are working as they should but its the head unit that is reacting to something going on with the car when the HIDs are switched on. Remember, this is a common problem with many people and all of the 2009/2010 units.

just got the AVIC F90BT for my 08 scion XD, the scion factory wiring do not match the back of the avic f90bt, IS THERE an ADAPTER to connect the scion factory wirings and connect it to the avic f90bt?

Common problem and no certain fix. Turn your lights within the first 5 seconds of starting your car and you will be good to go.
