  1. Its a common issue and this has been covered many times on the forum. You can try and ground one of your RCA outputs on the unit. This has lessened the issue for some but not completely eliminated it. The only other advice is to turn your lights on within the first 5 seconds of the units boot cycle.

  2. everytime i turn my car on and my HIDs turn on it shuts my audio off. why is that?

      Since it's not a voltage issue; my guess would be the HID's are introducing a lot of noise into the electrical system, causing the AVIC to freak out.

      I had the same issue. My radio didn't shut off but it did decrease the voltage and you couldn't hear anything out of the speakers. I went to a few HID websites and found an relay harness that I installed. This way the hids recieved power directly from the battery when turned on instead of the factory harness. Hope this helps.

      Actually the relayed harness has caused the issue with most people on this forum.
