  1. Thanks to a couple of other fourm members here there are a few workarounds to solve this problom. 1. Turn ipod backlight to ALWAYS ON. On the ipod, go to SETTINGS, BACKLIGHT, turn to ALWAYS ON. OR 2. Turn ipod chaging on the D3 to OFF. On the D3, under the ipod menu, hit FUNCTION, then turn charge ipod OFF. You can also turn the SLA(source level adjuster) on the ipod source all the way down to -4. All of these tips seem to help wth the problom. Props go to Kingof3rdinput and aja656 for discovering these workarounds. Please sticky this thread.
  2. This also worked for me, Im going to start a new thread on this and request it be stickied.
  3. Far from it. Have you seen VW's ipod integration? Compared with other aftermarket nav units with ipod video support like the kenwood knx7100, the D3 ipod video support is rudimentary.
  4. When you say the videos play fine on the ipod are you sure they all play? Go back through and make sure you can play all videos from the ipod. They may show up in the list on the ipod but may not play. If this is the case, then that would indicate an issue with the ipod. I would try to reset the ipod.
  5. Check your connections, make sure something didn't loosen, if it is bypassed correctly, you wont have the problem your having.
  6. Dont know!!! I have the same ipod you do and I can select different videos form the D3 as long as there in a playlist. I never have done it with music videos per say but I dont see why it would matter. I do have to say that the D3 video support as far as the ipod is concerned is about as crude and rudimentary as it gets tho.
  7. Yea, on occasion I have this problem as well, I think it is just reception problems.
  8. Just use disk copy in your burner app. You dont have to decrypt the disk to copy.
  9. Just copy them with your burning app. They are not copy protected so you dont have to decode them to do this. Just go to disk copy in your cd burning application. You will also need a dual layer burner and of course dual layer disk.
  10. Its magnetic, it allows you to install the antenna it places where there is no metal. It can be cut to size for the particular application.
  11. There is no reason it should not.
  12. You might want to check you settings in your app or your burner. Another brand of media might make a difference as well.
  13. Alright guys, The D3 DOES indeed play MP3 dvd's just as the feature description says for the D3. I tested with a DVD-RW as well as a DVD+R. I did not test with DL DVD with MP3'S but I have played many movies on DL DVD+R and they play just fine so I cant imagine why a DL MP3 disk would not work.
  14. I will test and report back.
  15. I have not tested this yet, but the specs say it will play mp3 dvd's.

  17. Yea that guys got some nerve.
  18. O shit, here we go again, are you guys not going to show up to meet each other down the street now?
  19. Have not heard anyone else with this problem, try hitting the reset button on the D3.
