  1. I was installing Sirius on my D1, but I can't find that SID number. Are they just looking for the Serial number or does it actually say SID#. Please help
  2. That is strange, I don't remember seeing that error message unless I switched to the map screen. There may be something different going on here. Maybe someone else can chime in here and get you past the error message.
  3. Well, my problem might have been a little different than yours if i understand correctly. I was always able to use the audio (CD player) part. That always worked. My Nav was just giving me problems. Just making sure you know that there are two disc slots, the one on top is for CD's the lower one is for the DVD maps. If the flash does not work I am not sure what else would. Let us know what happens.
  4. Wow, I guess I am not the only one who had this problem. Sorry it took me so long to come back to this site, school is in now. I basically reinstalled(relashed) the software and that fixed my problem. I used a tutorial on "downgrading software" to an older version that was originally for a N1. But I followed the instructions and they worked for my D1 also. Anyway I was going to link you all to the thread I used with the tutorial on how to reflash your unit (downgrade software), but it seems someone deleted the tutorial in this thread: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... ight=reset
  5. Euology101, I had the same message about two hours ago. I just did the Software Downgrade procedure and all was fine. Just make sure to use the MAP button when the procedure calls for (VIEW-POS) button, and use the B.Light button when the procedure calls for BACK button. See if that works.
  6. Okay I did the software downgrade, and the map can now be displayed. For some reason it says I am somewhere in L.A. but I am in Florida. The arrow does not seem to be moving either. What am I doing wrong?
  7. I just installed my D1, the CD drive works well, I can listen to music. However, when I load up my Nav DVD in the DVD drive it keeps telling me to "INSERT THE APPROPRIATE DISC". I tried the reset button, and the other disc, but the same message appears. I have authentic discs. Please help! My warranty period is already up because I have had it for a while, I don't know what else to do Please advise. If my drive is bad, can someone recommend a good place to get it fixed.
  8. Okay, I checked. Turns out I don't need to connect it. But thanks again for the offer!
  9. wow, thanks man. I will check my car and see if I need to hook it up. I know the antenna is not motorized, it might be in the glass.
  10. I have read about the hack with the auto antenna wire, which I want to do. But does this mean that it is not necessary to hook up? Why does nobody ever seem to hook it up? Will performance of anything suffer because it is not connected? I just bought the D1 and I am about to put it in my 1999 Lexus GS400, does anyone know if I should connect the auto wire in my car? Thanks
