  1. http://www.bestskinsever.com/ You can order a "custom size" which is 9inX3.75 inches cut it to size. I've got these skins on two blackberries, two Ipods, and a few other small work related electonics. They are the best I've used and probably some of the cheapest.
  2. Anyone know anybody or any place other than sending the unit to pioneer service center where I could get a D1 serviced. I'm having an issue with "please insert appropriate disc" message. Tried to upgrade with burnt dvd, now i cant downgrade or do anything. stuck. please any help would be appreiciated!
  3. sorry to dig up a dead topic but I ran into the exact same problem again! with a whole nother D1 system and a Different disc. I need to know if anyone ever found a solution to this other than sending back to Pioneer. I found a guy on ebay who will do repairs for 145$ including shipping to and from, not sure if hes reputable or not, little weary also. Anyone tried this? GRRRR... so close to going to different company
  4. H2omaan: or anyone else: Just out of curiousity, how much integration would the Parrot ck3000 evolution series have with a D1. Basically the only integration I'm wondering about is would it display the Number or name on the screen of the caller?
  5. Hey man, sorry i thought i posted a reply but it must not have went through correctly, it sounds exactly like the problem that I was having. On another thread a fellow member told me that Pioneer informed him of a problem created by Burnt discs. From the sounds of your post you didnt use a burnt disc. But the symptoms sound the same. Anyway the other user basically said that Pioneer is aware of the problem and the fix is to have your system reflashed, which is a 75$ job and takes 3 weeks to do. I had no choice, luckily the person i bought the unit off of got me a replacement instead of me h
  6. NYDesi80: Thanks for that info. I probably would have figured that out also had I called them, but I wasn't sure if my warentee would work so I figured I would try here first. Atleast this way I know what needs to be done in the future. I do wonder if anyone on here knows how to flash these systems also... ill have to look into that, but thanks again!
  7. hey, Thanks for the info. I wondered if that was the problem with mine, so i actually used my original west dvd to see if i could downgrade to that also, and that didnt seem to work either. But i tore out the system today and called up the guy who sent it to me and since he works with pioneer he was able to get me a replacement so i just sent it out to him today. The person i bought the discs off of is sending out 2 new sets so when the new system and the new sets arrive I will find out if all is well in the world of navigation. Thanks to everyone who replied though I really do appreciate the
  8. yeah, i've done it all, i've downgraded and upgraded like a mad man. Seems to be an error with the SDRAM which i've yet to figure out. Thanks for the suggestion though
  9. ok guys, i have done some searching and haven't the answer to what i'm looking for. Is there a difference between 60M and 60MP or are they the same thing? My reason for asking this is because i had a burnt copy of 60m East which was working fine. I couldn't get my hands on a west copy of this so i purchased 60mp east and west from a fellow member. I threw in the MP version and now i'm completely stuck in "please insert appropriate disc" mode ive tried downgrading to the 60m, i've tried downgrading to my oem discs 50m, nothings working. So i'm wondering if theres a difference between these two
  10. Anyone have any ideas??? i've been reading around that burnt discs screw up the laser, but i was using a burnt dvd for about 2 weeks prior to trying this other burnt disc. so i dont think thats the problem. I'm still looking for any sort of reset if anyone has any suggestions
  11. yes, i know about the reset, i've used it many times when accessing the service menu's, thanks for the advice though
  12. haha, yeah i'm certain... i'm pretty sure i'm doing everything correctly... like i was saying theres another thread on here where two others appear to be having similar problems. I contacted the seller of the cds he said hes never heard of such a thing and personally i'm not really sure how a disc upgrade can harm any hardware, so i just need to do some sort of reset to default to work through it i would imagine. would be nice if there was a pin-hole button or something to that effect on the back side of the navigation that would reset it to factory default. anyone have any suggestions??? alte
  13. i might be wrong, but the D1 doesnt have a hard drive does it? I personally dont think anything is wrong with the drive itself. It seems to read everything i put it in it, and when i go into the service menus and downgrade to the other versions on the other dvds, it appears to work, cause it reads through the % up to 100 percent everytime, everything seems to work fine, in that sense but then when it restarts it just says to insert appropriate disc. when i check the service menu after this, the version # match the dvd that i currently downgraded to so its working to that point. Still no access
  14. They were copied cds I bought off of Praetorian. I've done everything i can figure out to downgrade it and nothing is working. I've used both of my original 50m dvds and neither of them will do it, and i even have another copy of 60m that a friend of mine downloaded, and i cant revert to them either. You have any idea if theres a way to completly erase everything? set it back to fully stock. one button sorta thing? theres gotta be a way to get it back to that original setup
  15. well when i put in the new discs it upgraded, and said that it finished out the 100% and then restarted and thats when the error came up
