  1. Just as it says, navigation guidance and blue tooth both have no sound. Also I have noticed when i press the menu button there is no sound either. There is sound from the iPod, radio, CD, and DVD. I am stumped on this one, any help would be much appreciated as I do not have the money to replace the unit at all. I have tried a full system restore as well, and have tried setting it all back to the factory setting. Nothing.

  2. It does not get any simpler than this, if you can not handle this then I would suggest finding someone in your area that can handle this. This is really easy, follow each step in order. Print this out after you have downloaded the information. Then put the required files on the SD card and go to your unit, there should be only 4 files on the SD card: My Flash disk, WinCEIMG.bin, WinCEIMG.cks, and test mode.

Go to unit, turn unit on, immediately press reset, eject, menu, and map buttons at the same time. After abotu 30 seconds you may hear a pop from your speakers, release the reset button and wait, you should have a blue screen come up, insert the SD Card, select WinCE update, WinCE update from SD card, this will take a few minutes. When this completes it will tell you to reset the unit, press the reset button. Should boot directly into a windows screen, their will be a list of icons from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen on your left. With the stylis that was provided when you purchased the unit double click on the top icon, then double click on the storage card, the highlight "My Flash Disk", click on edit, and then select copy, then you need to go back to the first screen where you selected to go into the SD Card and go into the flash disk on the unit, select edit and paste. Wait about 30 minutes and your done. It is really that easy.

Step 1: Download 3.0 from the torrent. http://itchybot.com/x910bt.zip.torrent

Step 2: Download the install files.http://itchybot.com/3.0%20Install%20Files.zip

Step 3: Copy the 2 WinCEIMG files to an empty SD card.

Step 4: Turn unit on. When the pioneer logo comes up, press and hold the menu, map, eject and the reset button at the same time. When you hear a pop sound from your speakers, let go of the eject button but continue to hold menu and map buttons. This will bring you to a blue screen where you will have to enter the service combination. Press the volume knob in this sequence and you will see * signs for each push: Up, Up, Down, Menu, Left, Right.

Step 4: Put in your SD card with the WinCEIMG files.

    Step 5: Select Update CE

Step 6: Select Update SD Format

Step 7: Wait till it says restart in the bottom center.

Step 8: Remove your SD from the AVIC, put it in your computer.

Step 9: Delete all of the files off the SD card and put the test mode folder, DATA file, and the flash dump from torrent on.

Step 10: Insert the SD card into the AVIC and hit the reset button.

Step 11: Once test mode boots, open explorer and copy the contents of the flash dump to the "My Flash Disk" Drive.

(Should take about 20min even though at first it says like 140min)

Step 12: Copy the Data file from the SD card and replace the one in "My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo" (Soft Bypass)

Step 13: Press and hold restart and eject for 5 seconds.

Step 14: Enjoy your new 3.0

  3. Don Tat, do the 3.0 upgrade, much smoother operation than the 2.X versions. After that you can find the 3.01 update floating around on here somewhere, I do not remember exactly where I found it, but I do remember the login ID and password which I have posted about. Then download the 3.02 update from Pioneer, after you install the 3.02 update, then go back in under test mode to access CE, do the software bypass, easy and many write ups on here about that one. Very much worth it.

  4. I would have done that if I could have gotten into test mode to access CE, but it was not letting me into that at all. I had to reinstall 3.0, then reinstall 3.01, and then reinstall 3.02. What I did wrong was doing the software bypass before installation of 3.02. Now that I have reinstalled 3.02, I can access test mode and CE, did the software bypass, and then made the Navi warnings go away, talking about annoying.

Sorry to have thread jacked, just needed to find some help somewhere with my problem. I started a topic about it, had 11 views and no one offered up anything.

Back to the topic of this thread. 3020200 is the Europe update, and is not available in the US at all. If you live in the states and have this update, I would imagine that it is going to tell you that your in the US but operate really weird like. If you live in Europe then congrats.

  5. Well 11 views, no input from anyone, and I figured it out. Had to reinstall 3.0 to roll the unit back out of 3.02. After reinstalling 3.0 I was able to then access test mode. Now I am putting 3.01 back onto the unit, and then 3.02. Hopefully all goes right so that I can then access test mode to do software bypass and make the Navi warnings go away.

  6. Version 3.020100 is what the download says.

On the unit in my car I can access test mode, just not in the wife's. I need to know if there is a way to roll it back to a previous version. That would be great, so then I could try to get the update properly done on the wife's vehicle.

  7. I just did the 3.02 update on 2 F90BT's and I can not get into test mode on either of them. I am going to roll it back to 3.01 if possible. I will not go with 3.02 at all, that is some BS from Pioneer.

I stand corrected! I was able to get into CE mode on mine, but not my wife's. So I am going to try to do the 3.02 upgrade on my wife's Xterra again, hoping that it does the trick. I did mess with the data.zip file before I did the update on her vehicle. That might have been the problem. Hopefully the update will go through, since it is on there right now, it does say version 3.02, so I do not know. I may have to roll it back to 3.01 and then do the 3.02 upgrade again. Not fun.

  8. Server: ftp://www.turboss.com

    User: avicuser

    Password: Avic911

No longer works. Does anyone know where else 3.01 can be obtained?

Pioneer no longer offers this as a download, you now have to order it from them. I already have the 3.02 download but need the 3.01 update installed before you can update to 3.02.

Correction, password is not Avic911, remember the name of the forum and you will be able to get into this.

  9. Moving the mic will correct your problems. Since most of the mic's on the market do not block out background noise, your only fix is where you have your mic at. The Scion TC is a noisy car to begin with, way too much road noise and everything else. So the people that hear you on the phone are getting mostly back ground noise instead of your voice. I have mine above the sun visor in my G35, sine that is a spot where no wind is rushing by it and I have almost zero road noise.
