Sorry for potentially duplicate question, but I have actually two: - When power is turned off briefly (short press), and then back on my F500BT, unit seems to restart completely, not coming back to the state it was before the power was pressed. Is this by design? - Garmin works, and even keeps of the settings, except the GPS port - it needs to be recognized every time the program is run. Any solution, please? Thanks, Gino

Thank you, maybe I need to clarify this. It is much more convenient to just plug "fat" wire into the cradle, and not touch it again, just connect/disconnect the unit. So, I would like to just have a "fat" wire connector on one side, and 5V plug that the other (12V/5V regular plug) connects to. So, I can avoid fiddling with the 5V DC in every time I plug in the unit. Now, I also noticed (maybe it's just me) that the unit seems to respond faster to my input when power is coming through the cradle. I apologize, I am not hijacking the thread Something went wrong with my mod, and now it keeps rebooting with "Application MainMenu.exe has performed an illegal operation..." message. Testmode doesn't seem to work completely - it boots, but then fails with similar message, I can't get to Explorer, to delete/restore files. I read quite a bit, but didn't see a solution, this is F500BT, is there a way to uBoot it and how? Or, some other suggestion maybe? Will appreciate any help, Gino

I would like to have a separate cable (not the fat one coming with the unit), connecting 12V to the cradle. Does anyone know where I can buy the connector separately, please? I could then just solder the right cables for the plug... Any advice would be appreciated, thanks! Gino
