I just throw my gym t-shirt over the dash, seems to work well so far, maybe it smells a little but whatever. Hope your insurance company can make all that better, I know how that feels and its not nice.

Don't think its possible there is not data input/output for a secondary screen.

Use the software bypass, much much easier. Just follow the directions completely. Make sure you ground the parking brake wire too, that was giving me heartburn for a while but the mod works great.
