  1. Hey nipLVII, from someone who just turned 50 a few days ago...I wanted you to know that I had to work up my courage to hack my 700 with IDT's mod...like you I had tried out CMH's AIO...but after the upgrade to v3 firmware I was leary about messing with my unit...however, IDT's mod (incorporating so much good work from so many other great contributers on the forum) is so useful/attractive I just had to make the leap. I followed all the directions (making backups, etc) and went slowly...but am ecstatic with the result. Everyone who sees the unit in action is properly awed... I have a separat
  2. Well, let me add my congrats to IDT for a wonderful mod. Clearly more useful, more attractive, and just -better- designed than the stock unit. I recently upgraded (?) my unit with the official Pioneer version 3 firmware upgrade...and then went to work: 1) with the Final version of IDT's mod. 2) upgraded the Canada map with the 2009.6 file, 3) then did the "Remove Navi Warning" hack 4) then the "Remove Back Camera Warning Message" Ok, and here is the wierd part. Although I have not done the hardware hack, nor have I done the parking brake wire mod, my unit now displays movies, and c
  3. I was experiencing really low volume with my F700BT during bluetooth calls. I had the volume setting on the AVIC set to the maximum, and the phone was still a whisper. But I recall reading a post on the forum saying to check the cell phones settings...and loe and behold...I found that the "bluetooth volume" setting on my phone was really low (say 2 out of 8 ). When I raised it to 5 or 6 out of 8 it was perfect. Now, I could not find a way to set the "bluetooth volume" on my Samsung R500 phone unless the phone was connected to the Pioneer unit (i.e. AVIC running) and I was in the middle
  4. Or you can use a peripheral connects PESWIPS steering wheel interface... http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/?ProductId=210
  5. Check out this posting for some other opinions/options: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=20886
  6. Thanks guys, great links. I had been looking at a generic Nexxtech LCD screen protector (17") that I would have had to cut to fit my AVIC-F700BT unit...when I thought to do a search of this forum. A few minutes later, and I've placed an order for a NuShield DayVue protector... I'm looking forward to the screen protection, and hoping that the glare protection helps to make the screen more viewable during the day...will report back when its installed.
  7. And you can also check out the Peripheral PESWIPS steering wheel control interface: http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/?ProductId=210 I have this in my 2009 Kia Rondo, and it works fine. The response time for a button push is great.

  9. ..and you should be able to call in and have your subscription transferred from the old radio to the new...just need to provide them with the new identification number...
  10. I have the 95-7329 DDIN kit in my 2009 Rondo EX with my 700BT. Isn't the 99-7329 the single DIN dash kit..? The 95-7329 integrates well into the shape of the dash. But get the antenna adapter from Metra, 40-KI11 also...Hmmm, now I notice that they have a "combo" kit, the adapter and a 40-KI21 which "adapts FM modulator to a factory antenna connection". At the moment I have minimal FM and no AM radio, since they didn't have the adapter when doing the install. I've ordered the 40-KI11 adapter...and am now wondering what the 40-KI21 does...and if I need it...
