  1. Installed a ground loop isolator today from radio shack, $20. Sound gone, stereo rocks, 1 minute install, Just pull RCA out of amp and plug it in to isolator than isolator into amp, wala. Now I love it.
  2. Yes there is wire, but I have never seen it. Installer did a good job. All you see is the antenna mounted to the glass. On my H2 no one would ever see it unless I pointer it out.
  3. I have been through the same issues as everyone here, finally took it to the pros. I have a 2003 H2. I finally decided to put a new head unit in and keep Bose amp and speakers. I installed myself, tons of feedback. Tried a lot of things, finally took it to pros. They said they don't sell pioneers because of this, but they would try to install it. They ended up bypassing the amp and using the line out to the speakers. No more feedback but sounded bad. So I bought a new amp and speakers, feedback again, they said it is the HU. They say it has something to do with the HU grounding through
  4. I had the same problem, drove me nuts, I went through three different pioneer radios. My factory AM sounds great, pioneer horrible. I finally had a separate antenna attached through a Y connector and now have a small antenna behind my rearview mirror. It worked really good. I would say 90% of perfect. I could get more info from installer if anyone is interested. Bottom line is AM tuner in pioneer sucks. The RCA connections seem to cause me problems too.
