    Ipod with XM

Hello I have a Z2 I already have the xm moduale hooked up. I found an iPod interface CD-IB100II for a pretty good price. How do I hook them both up to my unit? Thank you for your help!
  3. So I guess this forum is officially dead.
  4. I have had my Avic-Z2 for a few years with no issues at all. Well one day a few months ago it just started taking forever to turn on. I timed it at 90 seconds, way too long. Now I do not seem to have any trouble with the hard drive, everything else works perfectly. I can record and play albums no problem. The Nav works fine. I am nowhere near full on storage for my albums. What should I do to fix this? Also I have it bypassed (for years now) and really do not want to do anything that will lose that functionality. However I am starting to get pretty annoyed with

    Ipod Cable

That sucks seems that everything for the Avic cost more money than other decks.

    Ipod Cable

If I buy this cable I will not be able to control the iPod from the Head Unit, is that correct? http://www.ebay.com/itm/PIONEER-CD-iB100II-IP-BUS-TO-IPOD-CABLE-/200503968440?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item2eaef7c2b8&vxp=mtr#ht_1882wt_1037 I need to spend more money to get this, is that right? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pioneer-CD-IB100II-cdib100ii-iPod-Interface-Adapter-for-Pioneer-Head-Units-/140732026165?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item20c4484d35#ht_500wt_1287

    Ipod Cable

    z2 remote

I bought one from ebay for $22 If you need the model number off it let me know but it seems to be the same one for most of the Pioneer units
  9. Yea it is not really necessary, I only noticed it cause I was changing some things around on my amps and turned the unit off as I do not like to unplug or plug in the RCAs with the radio on. So I turned the radio off and noticed that both amps were still on. I just turned the car all the way off to solve the problem.
  10. welcome to the world of pioneer's brilliant engineers, why do they do half the things that they do? this one, as weird as it is, actually makes a little sense when you look at the bigger picture. the biggest reason for them keeping the amps turn on is that even if you have no music playing, is that there may be other stuff that may need to come over the speakers. for instance, say you have a route planned and you have the source turned off, lets also say that instead of having your speakers ampflied from the deck, you have either a 4ch amp or a factory amp. now when it is time for the nav
  11. what do you think is the reason for this? I have owned many many HU's and never seen this before.
  12. Hello, I have a Z2 I noticed my amps stay on even when I turn the Source to Off. Why is this and is there a way to change that? I have the remote from the amp connected to the remote (blue wire) on the deck. My amps turn off when I turn off the key but not with the source selected to OFF. Weird, not the worst problem but is this normal? Thank you in advance for your help.
  13. Well I have the light green parking brake wire grounded. The error I get says "....Detected that your parking brake is installed improperty..." How do I get rid of that message?
  14. I hve already grounded out the parking brake wire as well. I have done the 2 wire mod and the Z2 Firmware upgrade. I was wondering if I could get rid of the 2 warning/error messages with any programming. SOunds like I cannot and just have to clear out both messages everytime.
