  1. This is the same problem as in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=27131. Can a moderator merge those 2 topics so we all can watch/contribute to a single one?
  2. I have the same problem with iPod (Nano 4th gen) more often not being recognized by the HU (F900 3.02 FW), unless disconnected and connected again. @ItsStopher your solution seems interesting (basically it makes HU thinks the iPod is connected only after boots up), but needs a little bit too more work and skills for my taste. Do we have any other solution?
  3. Hello, my issue is very similar: the phone connects ok, agenda is downloaded ok, BUT: when I receive a call, I don't see the caller name (although it is on the agenda), and also the call history is not saved on the HU, so I cannot redial a number. It seems the phone doesn't send the caller ID to the HU. Also, same problem about green and red buttons to initiate/end a call: if I call someone using HU, the buttons don't show up and the music is not silenced; if someone calls me, I get those buttons, but ending the call doesn't work and the unit basically is silenced until the next reboot
  4. Any idea why my device is booting in 2D mode, no matter what I tried? How can I make it to go directly to 3D by default?
  5. I tried the supplied sys.txt and the problem with starting in 2D mode is still there. It did solve the issue with default visibility distance. Any other idea? What's the difference between data.zip and dataeu.zip?
  6. That's good suggestion, I'm going to try it and report back the result. One more question: in the final fixed version, what's the difference between data.zip and dataeu.zip? Since I have an American F900 unit, but I live in Europe, which one should I use?
  7. Yes, this is my problem: no matter what mode I stop the unit in, it will always start in 2D - and I like to keep it in 3D. And yes, I did delete the files in the Save folder, as instructed by IDT. The only change is that I'm using a slightly modified sys.txt, with some settings I picked up from various forums out there. Could this be the problem?
  8. Any help please with any of these? Especially booting in 2D mode is really annoying.
  9. have you tried doing what 69sixpack suggested? No, because I don't understand what TMC/MSN has to do with my two questions, about having speed limit sign changed to the European style (white circle, red border), and why my unit boots in 2D mode - how can I make it to go to 3D by default.
  10. are you using the TMC version? No, I'm using the simple one, since the US unit doesn't have TMC.
  11. Sorry, I have an F900 and I live in Europe - that's why I'm interested in having European style speed sign. My unit is an US one though - I've been able to load all European maps on it and iGo 8.3.
  12. Great mod, thank you for all your work! I have a couple of questions: - is there any way to set the speed limit sign to European style (white circle with red border)? - after the unit boots, the map starts always in 2D mode, even if it was in 3D when it was turned off. It used to remember the last setting before using this mod. Is there any way in having the map remember its last setting, or to start in 3D mode? Thank you again for the hard work!
  13. I have two questions related to this mod, as I was not able to figure it out: 1. Is there any way to have the car speed displayed when there is a route, the same like when there is no route selected? I know I can use one of those 3 selectable info fields, but that would be too small. 2. Also about speed: is there any way to show the speed limit info from the map, also without using one of those 3 selectable fields? Something like the speed limit in a red circle. Thank you.
  14. Thank you, just downloaded the files - I'll give them a try. Can you post the hacked ezrider 3.0 as well, or point me to the one you're using? Thanks.
  15. Can you point me to those license files? So the only additional thing I need to do is to add those files? I believe I have already the ww license.
  16. Thanks for replying. I would love to move to iGo 8.3, but as I said on another topic, I did update to fw 3.0101, but having an US unit and living in Europe, I have to stick with the old ezrider and 8.0 maps for now, as I was unable to make the hacked ezrider 3.0 towork. For 1): can you point me to that code, ideally with some guidance? Although I've been using GTiMatt's one and I don't remember having that feature For 2): let's say there is an active route. Pressing a button (or accessing a menu) would bring up a menu for recalculating the route, wit the following options: - Drop next
  17. I've started to use this mod today, after I've been using several others - so far it's the best one, so thanks a lot for all the efforts and sharing. I have 2 questions - I looked for answers on this topic, but it seems nobody discussed about this. There are 2 basic functions, very useful for me, that are working on my PND using iGo 8.x: - a way to switch between distance/time to destination and to the next via; this is possible on PND when pressing the area with those indications - a way to recalculate the route for various events: e.g. stop by next gas station, detour for the next x kilom
  18. Hello, I have an US F900 unit and I've been able to use European maps with hacked ezrider for fw 2.0 (iGo 8.0). I updated the fw to 3.0101 with no problem, but in order to use European maps, I replaced ezrider with the old one -> same iGo 8.0 (and maps for 8.0, of course). Now I see there is a hacked ezrider for 3.x as well (iGo 8.3), but after putting it on the unit (and the corresponding 8.3 maps), the unit keeps rebooting itself. I tried to put some data.zip files from this forum that are supposed to work with 3.x, but still the same issue. I'm not a newbie, but still I'm unable t
  19. Yes, that's the solution that I had already installed: fw 3.0, then replace ezrider with the hacked one from previous fw (iGo 8.0) and 8.0 Europe maps. That way, we get the benefits of the new fw (faster response, working remote controls on wheel, better sound), but still stick with the "old" iGo and maps 8.0 - until someone will "do" the new ezrider. Looking forward to that!
  20. Should it be the cable connector itself?! Definitely I'm going to try it when I'll go to the service shop to install the cable next week. Anyway, just preparing for that, I've upgraded my HU to fw 3.0 - it seems it works faster indeed, and the touch is definitely more responsive - oh, and not to forget the remote controls on the wheel that really work this time.
  21. Hello, I thought I would revive this topic, now that we have fw 3.0 available. The question would be: once an F900BT US unit is upgraded to fw 3.0 (that is actually for X910 ), it will have US maps on it. How do we make it accept European maps, like it used to be the case for fw 2.0? To my knowledge, nobody hacked into ezrider.exe yet, so it cannot be convinced to run unlicensed maps. The workaround for this would be to install the old iGo 8.0 (from fw 2.0) - in this way, we would have the benefits of having an upgraded and more responsive system, but stick with iGo 8.0 for now. T
  22. Hello, I have an iPod Nano latest generation and my F900BT doesn't recognize it. The HU it does work with SD or USB music files, but when connecting the iPod, it doesn't recognize it, and the iPod it doesn't even charge. I have the Pioneer composite cable and USB and RCA (audio and video) connections are ok. I have fw 2.0 on US version of F900. Any idea? Do you think there's an issue with HU itself - so maybe going to fw 3.0 might help? Thank you.
  23. Thank you - this is exactly what I am going to do. I'll keep you posted with the result.
  24. Is that turboss?! I have already downloaded the APL2 from there... Thanks a lot.
