Has anyone tried to update windows 6 or 7 Ce for the improvements to touchscreen that started in version 6? I know on my cell phone the update from 5 to 6 was a monster improvement in screen touch and feel. Also this head unit has more potential than just playing music so for teh mod hack. How about Blue tooth communication to the cars computer. My android phone can do this so why can't my stereo allow me to adjust my spark and fuel mix? How about a plugin box to allow me to set my trailer brake via the touch screen and hide the nasty 40 year old units we have to install to pull

It never fails that if i ask the question aloud I will tend to answer it myself. Start with FRESH format of a SSD car Fat format not fat 32. I had a bunch of 8gig ssd cars that i used with my Nikon d80 and they put hidden files on the disk.

I don't think this internet issue is as hard as you think... I am not asking for a browser for my pioneer unit. I just want the IPODS browser to be visiable on my UNIT. This is no different than what is currently taking place with the MENU screen to play music. Video and keystroke communication. Basicly MIMIc my Ipod touch completely instead of just one tiny part

Do I need to format the disk a special way?

Ok I have have tried several different configurations with the test mode files and the unit just doesn't seem to want to boot into test mode. So.... Define the file structures i.e. f:/NNtestmode.exe or is it f:/testmode/NNtestmode.exe Can there be other folders on the disk? I have tried it both ways I have tried ipod connected /disconnected I have tried parking brake lead active /deactive (mine is on a switch because I do want to disable video while driving sometimes on long drives and still listen to a movie.) two in series doesn't improve over 1 just attunates all power more. Try hooking one between your stereo and Ground as well as your power wire. Other than that its sheerly a lay out issue of your stereo being too close to car power.

You realize this thread is 28 pages long? Its kind of a challenge to even scroll around and find your latest release. Could yous scrap the thread and start a new one where the downloads are in the first post with links that don't change so that when you update your data the first link is always current.

Ok when i bought this system I was dreaming a bit bigger than Pioneer i guess. I bought the f900bt the xm the hd radio and a IPOD touch that fit nicely into the glove box. Thats about as far as pioneer thought ahead as well. Me spending money ... the end. Now here is a list of things that don't work well for me.
