ordered mine yesterday, got it today, had it in my car in about 20 min, would have been quicker but those screws were a mother to get out and the dremel had to come to the rescue! was something i was scared to do, but figured why not....glad I did...

after some time yesterday, we got it all worked out. the onstar works like it should, the pac-swi-ps works like it should and the day/night works on the screen after much work to find a wire to tap into on the newer gm wiring harness. its nice to have everything working and still retain the factory look and feel!

yes, but it isnt intalled yet. hopfully tomorrow.

apple video cable plugged into one of the AV inputs on the back of the AVIC should get it done.

did you check your onstar? mine when i hit the hands free button on the steering wheel, the z1 shuts down. i was curious if maybe something was wired wrong.

is it the classic 3500? i just had mine done on my 06 2500 and it sounds great. i was thinking about getting an amp and speakers to replace the bose, but by adding the z1 and tweaking the settings, it sounds amazing. i see your in maryland, where are you going to get it installed?

no, its in my 2006 silverado. when i hit the onstar button, the z1 shuts down and the onstar voice starts calling off all of the commands for the hands free phone.

I got my Z1 installed yesterday and on the way home i tested the onstar to see if it was working and when i hit the button, it turned off the z1 and the onstar voice was going nuts. any thought on why this would happen? other than that, I love the Z1!!! the ipod is a little slow and it took a little while to get the blue tooth volume right on the phone, but still an awesome part!

my Z1 came in the morning and am getting it installed tomorrow! I cant wait, I have my ducatiboy instructions to take to the shop to have it bypassed and i will be set! I have been lurking on here since the start and figured i would sign up and join in the madness...
