  1. What resolution are the videos? Remember, our screens are 800x460 (not sure about the 460 # right now and am too lazy to look it up). Maybe if your videos are recorded at a lower rez that could be the problem. Just a thought.

Sure, here you go. See "the optional circuit" in the article. It's pretty old but it sounds like the same problem you're having. There are also several other bluetooth install articles in this database, pretty interesting how they integrate the aftermarket kits with the stock wiring. 3. Yep, in the video settings on teh Ipod you need to change it to "video out". I also had to mess around with some of the format settings on my Ipod to make it display properly on the screen, I think I used "widescreen". One other possibility could be that you hooked your audio connectors up to the wrong set of RCA connectors... Just a thought.

You have to be careful about this, certain factory mics have different gain settings (I think, I'm not an expert) that can make them sound like crap with a non-factory bluetooth kit. I had this problem with my Audi A4, the stock mic sounded terrible and some guys on the audi board actually put together a circuit that could be wired inline with the stock mic so gain could be adjusted with aftermarket kits. I ended up just installing my Nokia mic in the stock location, ditching the stock mic all together. So, I would just try it with the stock mic (if it has the correct connector, the one
  5. This looks like the mic on the Parrot "beanforming" bluetooth kits, I've attached a link below. The two mics work together to cut out background noise somehow, I don't know how it works but Parrot is supposed to have the best BT kits on the market. Has Pioneer licensed the Parrot BT technology? I know Kenwood did recently... The Parrot kits with this mic also allow A2DP streaming stereo via bluetooth, that would be pretty cool. http://www.parrot.com/catalogue/catalog/products/parrot-mki9000/#top
  6. Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I used to be a big Ipaq geek and I have an N64 emulator (PocketNES) with ROMs that work on WinCE pocket PCs... So if someone who knows what they are doing is interested in trying to install it on their Avic let me know. Some games can be controlled by the stylus, and others would need to have the buttons mapped (PocketNES allows buttons to be mapped though I don't know if it will work on the AVIC), but I guess a real controller is out of the question. So this might not get us anything but it might be a fun experiment (my AVIC is still on ord
