no i used the wire harness but um idk how to explain. on the gm interface for the dinger there're 4 wires and one of them is red and it wasnt attached to anything the other 3 where connected into the female end of the harness that goes to the factory wiring so i figured with it being red that it had to go to a power source so i tapped it into the switched power on the factory wiring. where it should have just gone to the red acc from the pioneer.

lol ya i was going to i just didnt have time earlier i was too excited. ok so on the gmrc-01 there's a red wire that says 12v power and i looked up online when i was installing it and the info said that went to a 12v switched ignition so i tapped that into the switched power in the factory harness and then hooked up the red acc wire from the unit to that wire. and that was my problem because i remember having sound at one point so i un did that and just soldered the two red wires from the gmrc-01 and the red acc wire together and wouldn't you know that it works perfectly . it was just way mo

speakers worked fine with the stock unit, so maybe the unit is shot? i went to a local audio shop today and they said they'll go over it on monday and double check my wiring for $20 so im going to have them do that and either way i still have the rga coming to exchange the unit.

i dont think there's anything wrong with my blutooth so i dont see that being an issue. im going to un solder the harness and start all over with the wiring and maybe i did miss something somewhere. i have no bose. and no onstar. when the unit is powering up when i turn the key the speakers crackle a tiny bit then ..nothing.

did you move the mute wire to the correct new pin -
turns on and everything works, just no sound. i called pioneer this afternoon and the dude told me there was something wrong with the unit and to send it back, so i called sonic where i got it and they told me 3-5 buisness days and someone will call me about returning it... kinda sucks considering my truck's all apart and what i would call not driveable and they just take their time.. mothereffers

there're two wires outa the avic. the system remote control and the antenna control. i connected the wire from the harness to the antenna control but my trucks factory plug has no wire going to that pin so it goes no where.....

connected the wire. still no sound. any other suggestions?

what's up with the blue power antenna wire? i didn't use it because i have no power antenna? i have all the speaker wires done correct i know because i used the GMRC-01 and the speaker wires are simple and i matched up all the others from the avic to the corresponding from the harness. i got the power wires all set switched and constant the vss is connected where its supposed to be, the reverse is good. and i did the bypass and grounded the parking brake. i tried to check and make sure the mute wasnt on but thats good too.

I tried searching for this but i couldn't find anything. im in the process of installing the f90bt in my 2005 silverado. i have everything wired up correctly but im not getting any sound at all. im puzzled. i double and triple checked all of the wiring for the speakers and it's all 100% dead on but i still get nothing. can someone please help maybe there's a setting that needs to be changed? i had sound when i wired the switched power wrong and put it to a constant and it played sound with the ignition off but not on. anyone please?
