  1. Great work. this is certainly one of the best mods for the F series. Thank you for sharing your work. BTW, i have a couple of questions. 1. Would it be difficult to change the font to default one? All cap font looks great, but, sometimes difficult to read. I looked at the navigationmap.ui, and see your font, but, simply replacing those with Tahoma won't work since the size will be different. 2. Which file do i need to replace in order to make the top text background to solid color? I think that will also help read the street names better. Thank you.
  2. I have both Garmin & AVIC and iGO 8.3 on my PDA phone. Garmin doesn't come even close to what iGo offers. Route accuracy also depends on where you live. Whatever package you choose, it will either be TeleAtlas or Navteq maps. Garmin is simple to use, but, that's all you will get with it. "Simple". iGo has almost unlimited tweakability, and features. iGo is also one of the most popular navigation software platform in Europe and many other parts of the world. There have been times, Garmin gave me a more accurate route. But, same can be said about iGo depending on where I was dri
  3. I don't think that's what the original poster has done. From your description, you simply used RCA pre-outs to go into your factory amp, right? When I do that with Monsoon, the factory amp doesn't turn on because the signal is too weak.
  4. Just sent you a PM, but, posting here as well incase someone else is interested. Hi, Scott, I just read your solution on the forum. I have F700BT and have been trying to resolove this hissing issue ever since I had it installed. I have a factory amp (Monsoon instead of Bose), and hear hiss when I press any screen or during voice navigation. You are the first person to solve this issue. Could you kindly explain what you did with RCA? How you spliced into the harness and HU. Right now, my F700BT is connected to the factory harness and factory amp is taking speaker level input (not
  5. I would pay a little more for VTL200 or VTL300. They are the same model except the finish of the frame. On the other hand, VTL200C or VTL300C carry CMOS sensor rather than the CCD sensor. They are cheaper, but, the image quality will be worse than that of CCD. Just my 2c.
  6. Thanks for the explanation. You are not only talented in modding, but, also in explaining things in simple terms. I will definitely look into my data.zip and see if I can replace those icons. Anyway, everything looks fantastic. Pioneer should hire you for their UI design. Best, Solo
  7. Great mod, and I am really enjoying it. However, I see that some screens in Navigation still shows back arrow instead of the new back button. Seems inconsistent. Any solution for this? I also see a few more files ending with .ufo extension than the original. Are these files necessary? Thank you.
  8. Thanks for the report. I am surprised that Pioneer didn't bother to fix the issues. I was about the return my P10HD, but, at this point would just keep it. I was hoping the new "RDS" feature would give me all the information i am supposed to get. Even my 2002 dodge does that on FM.
  9. Any update on this? I am about to return P10HD and get the P20HD. If the new unit fixes all the problem, it will be great. I spoke with Pioneer (took them 30 minutes to figure out), and was told that P20HD has RDS and iTunes Tagging feature. The guy couldn't tell me what RDS was. Let us know if the 20HD does correctly display all the channel/song info and correctly shows the preset info.
  10. Thanks everyone. I did the software bypass as well and it still comes up. So I will keep pressing OK.
  11. I did the hardware bypass on my F700BT and everything seems to be working. But, whenever I try to play a video from my IPOD, I get a warning for playing video while the car's in motion. Once I click 'OK', it plays video fine. Is this how it's supposed to work? Or is my bypass not complete? Thanks everyone in advance.
  12. Most likely your fuse is blown. Locate the fuze panel for the stereo and check if it's intact. It happened to me once. If it keeps happening, your head unit is not properly grounded. I would take it back to BB and have them check the ground wire. Not all metal in the car serves as proper ground.
