Thanks minifreezer. The only reason I'm so skeptical is because I have a buddy who works at Future Shop and does car audio installation and when he tried to do the bypass for someone using the hardware bypass, it worked for a few days and then stopped working for some reason. And he says he triple checked all the connections and that they were soldered so I can't understand why it wouldn't work for him. His friend's using the 2.0 firmware too. Any ideas why it may not have worked?

Hey guys, I just recently bought my F900BT. Can anyone confirm whether the hardware bypass will work on a 2.0 firmware AVIC-F900BT? I heard of stories where only the software bypass works with the 2.0 firmware update.

Hey guys, I need a confirmation. I'm about to install my F900BT but need to know whether the hardware bypass will work with the 2.0 firmware? All the new units now come preinstalled with 2.0 so I'm not sure whether the hardware bypass will work. Some have mentioned that it doesn't and that would leave me with no choice but to do the software bypass (which I would prefer not to do). Thanks for your input.
