  1. Got the 3.02 update done today. Best part? There are 3 map modes. 2D where North is Up, 2D Direction of Travel, and 3D direction of travel. I was waiting for the 2D direction of travel! Now it's just like my other OEM navs. Buttons responsive. XM much quicker to change channels. Load time quicker. So far so good. Iphone 3gs plays using my cable. First time I plugged it in it asked me to replug it in. Worth the 80 bucks. Just for the direction of travel and the new maps.
  2. I ordered 3.0 update and its coming tomorrow, but a neighbor who updated his 3.0 basically bricked his system and now Pioneer is gonna send him a replacement. If that happens to me, I am just going to buy a whole new system. I am actually quite unhappy with my 7010bt - its ok when it works, but just too damn buggy. So my question is, what other NAV system could I get without re-wiring it? I have a rear camera, XM, HD radio. I dont care about HD radio. Anyone have any suggestions?
  3. Did you split your antenna so you can get HD radio and fm and am through the non HD source?

  5. OK - an installer hooked up the Avic f7010b4 Nav system. It's in effect the same as the f700bt. I have a few questions comments: 1. The system really rocks. I was worried reading some of the things here. I find the ipod integration very nice. Had only one random reboot when messing with a lot of buttons at once. 2. In 2d map mode, can you change the orientation to whatever you are facing? It seems it always gives you North orientation. 3. My FM reception is much poorer than the OEM radio.
