1. I am selling my f700bt to get into a different unit that fits the new vehicle better. What kind of information is stored in the unit that I should remove, and how do I go about doing this? Currently, the only information I think is in the unit is the model number of my cell phone from the blue tooth connection, and my home address from the Home setting. I never synched my contacts. Does the unit store anything else I may not be aware of? Is there a way to flash it without re-installing it? I didn't think of this until the middle of the night last night after removin
2. I tried some of the fixes mentioned in some of the treads, spoke to crutchfield, spoke with a local car audio place, spoke with pioneer, and emailed with Pioneer. They said send it in (all of them). Luckily I am under warranty still, but barely...The unit was purchased in the end of July last year. Pioneer said if I wasn't under warranty base rate is 200.00. Seems steep for a hardware/software problem on their end. So, my curiousity is how old are the units that are having trouble? Mine is 11 months old. unfortunately, I dropped it in the mail to the service center today. I wonder i
3. I was watching a youtube video featuring the F700BT and it shows the guy just voicing the command while the music is playing and then it switching. I have to press in my knob everytime I want to use a command. Am I missing a set up feature or have a button selected wrong or is this proper operation? I got the unit from a freind and am trying to read the manual as I come across "issues" but this looked like a decent place to ask the question. I have not tried to play a specific song yet...I usually can't remember the correct name as it is in the catalogue anyway
4. I haven't had that issue. I would suppose it would be somewhat dependent on where you put your mic.
5. A member of an avalanche fan club site posted an icon for use in Garmin GPS units. It is in the file type of .srf. I saved it to my computer in hopes that it could either be used directly with the F700BT (or the F9XXXX series) or converted to another file type. it would be used to replace the arrow. It obviously took him a lot of work to create and I would like to use it in my unit. Any help would be appreciated.
6. Install was painless. I ran the HD radio box down behind the cubbys near the ciglighter/12 volt source and then under the cupholders in the centerconsole. Ran the blue tooth microphone and navigation antennae from the roof cubby area down the pillar on the drivers side and across under the steering wheel column. The worst part was getting all of the wires jammed in behind the unit. I think there is a lot of space behind the instrument cluster, but I don't know if that is a good place to put electronics that may interfere with the cluster. Not sure the steering wheel controls are wor
7. I recently completed the install of the F700BT in a Chevrolet Avalanche and thought I would post some pictures, since I haven't seen any. I still have a ton to learn about the unit and am wondering already if I should have done the hardware bypass. Want to find a simple way to play movies on the unit while it is moving and need ot learn the language of all the software hacks, because even though I am reading everything I can, it makes no sense to me...computer illiterate Dissassembled Dash A picture while the sun was still up [attac
