Check all grounding points to make sure you have proper ground. A voltmeter would help a lot in this scenario. Check all wires for any cuts or shorts, that could be the issue as well. Make sure no bare metal is touching anything else, unless it's a ground. Make sure no non-ground wire that is exposed is touching any grounding point either. Also make sure your antennas are hooked up properly as well. I have the F90 with the XM and HD modules attached to it, no problems. If all of the above doesn't help, you may have a faulty unit and might want to get it RMA'd. Hope this hel

idt's right - One of your ground wires, more specifically, the parking break ground wire, is loose and/or not connected properly. Go through all your wiring connections again and make sure none popped out. If you were trying to do the hardware bypass you might have missed a step. If I recall correctly, you need to move a pin on the harness and then wire that wire up with the ground wire. Since your question didn't mention how you installed your unit, I'm only assuming and this could not pertain to you whatsoever.

Just wanted to mention I installed this mod a few minutes ago, and I like it much better than ill.die.trying. Granted, both are completely much more informative and useful than the stock. Congrats to both!

Isn't there a way to emulate the necessary applications as running, yet using no memory allocation? This would prevent the unit from rebooting. What exactly does the unit look for, just the application name in the services/processes list, or something else? Is it looking for other running processes? I'm no programmer, but I'm sure emulating the necessary applications to do what you want with the unit can be done.
