So I haven't modded or done anything to my unit at all.. it has the 2.0 update thats it. can someone tell me step by step what i need to do in order to put this update on my unit thanks a lot!!

Hey does anyone want to take a peak at the audio portion.. I want to see if anyone can look at the eq and see if there is any way to make them all be separate.. like be able to control each band individually.. I would be greatly appreciative..

no.. the speed cams are loaded to show where they are.. you need a radar detector to well.. detect radars aka police.. the speed cams are public information that was put into the data for nav

Ok im a newbie at this.. I am going to go to best buy and pick up everything i need.. sd card reader/writer.. sd card.. 2 gb or more.. Now then questions.. 1. I see you need to back up your stuff.. What do you guys do with your back up copy? copy it to your computer? 2. what all do i need to download to start hacking? 3. Is there anyone that takes requests on changes/hacks.. (I would obviously compensate for their time..) I went through the wiki already too..

as easy as that may seem you will be kicking yourself later down the road after you blow those speakers.. the distortion you are hearing is clipping.. it will slowly kill your speakers as it puts out square waves and in turn more power but clipped/distorted.. unless you don't turn it up as loud as you were previously..

well then since testmode is only able to be entered with an sd card i still need a sd reader/writer.. thats what i was trying to figure out.. thanks a lot.. I still am a little nervous tinkering with it.. i know coding pretty well but on something like this idk..

I have read a few things on here and what not but haven't come across.. I see all the hacks are dealing with the Sd slot.. is it not possible to do these with a thumbdrive? if not i will go pick up a sd reader/writer.. sorry for being a noobie..

no you won't.. get a usb/thumb drive make a folder on it called pictures... the max specs of the picture is 800w x 480h... load the pic on to the thumbdrive go into the audio/video setup.. and hit splashscreen hit import from usb.. and grab your pic.. you will only need to do it once.. now then that will be your load up picture.. maybe one of the hackers has found a way to add a permanent background..
