The boot-up time on the F700 is significant, so I am considering to have the unit boot as soon as the door is unlocked with the keyfob. There are two obstacles: One, the physical connection and two, avoiding a reset when I am starting the car.
One: The unit should come on when the internal light comes on after unlocking, then be held until the accessory power is turned off.
Two: The voltage apparently dips too far for the unit to keep running when starting the car (I have an Optima red top, if that makes a difference).
