  1. do some more searching!!! i had the same problem, i was able to reload the 2.0 update wich didnt solve the problem, however it made it possible for me to boot into testmode, were then i was able to fix the problem.
  2. yeah, mine is in my 01 acura mdx with the 700bt, works perfect.
  3. i find the odd time my bb doesnt connect, so i just redo it and it works fine. i have a bell bb
  4. look for the factory deck, its most likely installed somewhere in the cab somewhere, chances are that the button that you push to make the clock show up on the display is being pushed and i will guarantee thats whats killing your battery. you may need to mount it differently to prevent this from happening.
  5. keep searching guys, ive just gone thru this whole experience too. my solution in the end was the easiest. goto bestbuy, buy the radio, plug it into your car, go into test mode, copy all the files onto yout sd card. plug your radio back in, boot into testmode, if you cant, do the 2.0 update, then you should be able to get into test mode. paste all the files from your sd card that were copied from the new radio, restart and you should be up and running. return the radio. but do some more searching to get details how to do all this. its out there.
  6. yeah, totally agree, theres no way the bypass could be the cause of your battery draining. what else is installed aftermarket wise, and who installed it? what kind of car is it?
  7. if by using that cable plugged into the subwoofer out on the back of the deck then you wont get anything from it as pre-outs are made for sending signal to an amplifier, they do not provide any power. you need an amp, and a new sub at that,
  8. im not totally sure what the factory radio of the tsx is, but im assuming that theres an "upgraded sound system" as the car makers like to call it, meaning that they have an additional factory amp powering the speakers. in this case your best bet would be to bypass them all together if your going to use the pioneer amp, however you could still incorporate it in the install but will sound like crap. if you have an audio inout in your factory radio you can just use the audio out put on the f500 and just skip the ND-G500 all together. That being said, after actually looking at the size of t
  9. im considering doing the same with my pontiac vibe, but from my research of the amp the only way i can see it working is to cut the ends off or splice into the wires from the amp that are supposed to goto the factory radio, buy the gm oem replacment harness (http://www.installer.com/item/display_i ... it=70-2003) that plugs into the cars harness. or hard wire it. if theres a simpler way i have yet to find it.
  10. so after all my searching and screwing around with this thing i finally got it working. ultimately whether someone is planning on doing any software mods or not it very important to back up you original software right out of the box. i did not not do anything to my f700 except add an xm radio tuner and some how my software got either corrupted or deleted. in the end i fixed this problem by obtaining a original copy of the software and just simply pasting it into my flash drive in the test mode. im still unsure why or how the original software would just go the way it did, but either way im
  11. just an update of what ive done so far. i tried to get into test mode, it would go into it but only for a brief second then shut down the same, as though the shut down was timed. anyways i loaded an sd disk with the 2.0 update off of pioneers website, the system took the update but upon reseting it would not go any further then the splash screen, but would not shut off, woohoo, progress. i then was able to successfully get into testmode, in there i tried a few of the things that ive found on these forums, however im still not there. now when i turn the radio on the splash screen stays up b
  12. yeah, nothing seems to bring it back, so i will try and reload software today, this seems to be the next logical step and looks like the common fix as well.
  13. also make sure they are at least 3 inches away from each other.
  14. does anyone have any ideas what may be the problem, from what ive been reading theres been this problem with several people but no one seems to reply to the posts, please someone give me some answers, im desperate.
  15. ok, from what ive found a hard reset involes pressing the reset button and the eject button together for 5 seconds, this did not work for me, anything else to try?
