  1. From the looks of it you definitely got the best deal by far.
  2. Well Thanks for the info. I went to the 6th ave website. Submitted a price of $1050 & they Countered with $1098, Submitted $75 for the XM module they countered with $88, Now I've got 7 days to pay for it. They also said the Name your price special ends 21st of October. Tomorrow is the last day for it. From the way it sounds they'll be doing it again. Thanks for the heads up on that site fellas.
  3. This unit is 1599.99 everywhere on the Net, How the heck did you get the unit for 950, even if you tack on the 200 dollar rebate its still only comes to 1150. I need to get one. Where did you get it from?
  4. Well I left the car alone for a while and tried it the next day and now it seems to have worked. . It seemed to have fixed itself some how. Now the firmware info says AVIC-Z2: PlatformVersion: 2.000500 HDD Application Version: 2.140000 which is what it is suppose to say after the update. I dont know what happened but my unit works fine now also. My Z2 is also still bypassed.
  5. My system is a Z2. I downloaded the program for a Z2. [/b]
  6. I downloaded the software from Pioneer's website and followed the instructions to the letter. At the completion of the update my system restarted and said upgrade failed. Now it is in a continuous restarting and shutting down mode with the end result a complete failure. I am curious to know if anyone else has had this problem and does anyone know of a solution to this problem? pressing the reset button does not appear to accomplish anything. HELP PLEASE.I dont need an expensie ($2000.00) paper weight P.S. my system was bypassed prior to this upgrade and also I have a Z2.
  7. you need to reset the unit to get rid of the parking brake message. reset button is just right of the eject button. Also you have all the options available while driving.

  10. I believe connector #2 is white. Connector #1 should be black. The cellphone mute wire should be connected to ground. just ground it to a metal surface of the car using a screw or connect to another wire that is has already been grounded. look at the instructions in the link trust me it helps.
  11. Here is a link that should help you this is what did it for me. Moderator Edit: if you want the directions to the 2 wire bypass it's posted here: http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass I do not believe the light green wire is in connector #1. That connector should be empty. The first 4 ports on that particular connector is empty. I removed my guide on wire (a yellow wire with a black tripe and put it into the connector 2 position. then i ran that wire to a screw that was already grounding another wire inside my strereo housing area. I didnt see a light green on my wire harness
  12. The light green wire can be grounded to any metal part of the car. Its easy if you can find a wire already grounded and just ad the ligt green wire to it. thats what I did it works fine.
  13. my car is a 96 jeep grand cherokee. The problem with the moving issue while in parked or stopped was not always there. I've had the Z2 installed for about 2 months now and that moving issue has only just started about a week or so ago. How do I find the vss wire for my vehicle to see if it is in fact connected properly or at all? I used to have the N1 and I recall it doing the same thing too. (both were professionally installed)
  14. Does anyone have this problem? While I am at a light or sometimes even parked my navigation system will show me moving when I am not. Does anyone know how to correct this problem. Help.
