well whenevr i plug in the iphone it does this, and i find that it has dock connector selected in the when i double click and slide all the way to the left. when i put it on the avh-8400, everything is back to normal, except if i am listening to pandora. when listening to pandora, if i switch to appmode, it sounds like ass and it seems only the front speakers work when this is done

i am tired of not having music while in app mode with waze. is there a way to get ipod2 or the radio to play while in app mode?
-
loving the app but still want some form of music control
-
did you use any extension cords with it? i used an iphone extension and it caused a lot of problems

maybe we can convince them to allow the app to access the ipod controls? and for it to stop pausing songs when it gives directions. that would be the real deal i would pay them for that

This is my review on the Pioneer AVH-P8400. Unfortunately, this is not really a positive purchase. I can honestly say I am pretty disappointed in Pioneer and this head unit. I am hoping Pioneer gets these issues straightened out and fixed with a firmware update. First, the positive: -This unit really sounded much better than my previous Pioneer Premier F90BT. There was a notable clarity once I switched to it. -I can connect two ipods to it rather than just one. -The G.U.I. was also very appealing. -Not having a bunch of harnesses in the back of the unit was also a plus and made insta

i have motionx gps drive and it SUCKS! do not buy this apps extra features, its not worth it. i paid extra for the external display feature, and it does nothing that a mirror app cant do. you cannot control the gps from the screen or any features for that matter. if you want to listen to music, it has to be controlled from the iphone itself. the screen basically is there just to display and thats about it. the app uses its own media player to play music. in order for you to use it, you have to manually select all the tracks you want to listen to. even if you already have playlists setup, you

when using pandora or the ipod feature on an iphone the iphone sound effects need to be shut off. when cruising i dont need anyone to know i just got a message. also NONE of the gps apps for it are worth a damn. another thing: get the head unit to control the iphone. its annoying as hell to have to keep grabbing the iphone to use it to control the apps. this should be controlled on the head unit. also, someone fix the b.s. with the bluetooth. i think its stupid that if i leave my iphone connected to the head unit and then come back to the car, turn it on, i have to disconnect the iphon -
cool, but can you leave the iphone connected via bluetooth and still use an ipod through the cable? or do you have to switch them everytime you want to go from pandora to the music on the ipod?

anyone?

hi guys, been a long time since i last posted. i currently have a f90bt thats running on x series software. when i first got it i loved it, but as time went on, its buggy operation and slowness became more and more irritating. at this moment im tired of it, its too slow for me and i need better navigation. i have been looking at the new gps head units pioneer has. both the z140bh and the x940bt. i have been wanting a z series avic for a very long time and am really considering this one. there are some questions i need answered first. heres a few: 1. loading time: how bad is i
