  1. Sounds like your iPod remains on or something and it isn't turning off resulting in the battery draining slowly. The problem I'm having is that when I connect the iPod / iPhone / iPad etc... it will not connect to the Pioneer. Normally a Pioneer screen appears on the iPod but that does not show up. I have called in to Pioneer and unfortunately it appears that the problem is hardware related so it needs to be sent back in.
  2. The answer is yes you can get Android to work but you need another cable. One that goes mini usb to usb + video. Still haven't figured out if any cables will work that are not specifically from Pioneer because I don't see anything on the back to accept a HDMI cable. Probably need some kind of adaptor. But this is the cable for those that want to know: http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-CDAH200C-Appradio-Adapter-Android/dp/B007YCZT58/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352140263&sr=8-2&keywords=Pioneer+Android
  3. So this is rather weird. My wife was telling me that the iPod is having this weird issue and wasn't charging when connected via the cable ( the pioneer one for app mode ). So I thought, well maybe the USB got loose, so I pulled the deck out and sure enough, it wasn't the problem. I was playing around with it connecting different devices and finally the iPad connected and got power. Thinking all was good I unplugged the iPad and plugged in a iPod but sure enough the power and connection was gone. I figured it was the cable so I pulled it out and inspected it for slices ( thinking maybe it snagg
  4. Hello all, Trying to get the appradio part working with my samsung Galaxy S3. I can connect the bluetooth and listen to music via bluetooth audio, but I cannot get appradio working. I still have the iphone cable plugged in for my wifes phone but don't see / understand how I can get my adroid connected from what i understood it connects just via bluetooth but i cant get it to work any suggestions. Also anyone know how to get sound back to tunein radio after another app like skype takes over the sound output via bluetooth? I dont have an output chiice like on the iphone at least from wha
  5. If you stay in the appmode you can still listen to music via an app on your phone. But yeah obviously this isn't ideal I agree.
  6. Just got an update on my iPhone for waze and in the upgrade details app radio and advanced radio mode is now fully supported!
  7. Yeah I've had all those above issues. Ability to change between apps is a major thing I would like to see them fix, as it defeats the purpose of having everything on the big screen if I still need to manipulate everything from the small screen. Bluetooth is messed up. If I try to connect via phone or deck after the initial localization of the phone fails it really screws up and there really isn't a way to power off the system without taking the screen off or powering off the car.
  8. Not sure how or why but Waze on my iPhone works perfect with the 8400 and it's the best paid/free GPS i've found to date. Tells you things that no other GPS does.
  9. Just figured out a nice trick that makes me happy. If you open say Livio Radio before you get into your car, then you can use the forward and back buttons on the radio to change between stations straight through bluetooth. This makes me a very happy camper
  10. It certainly does, but you need to fish around for wires and plug it in which imho is a PITA. I'm sure systems with 'full' wireless integration are coming, it's just a matter of time.
  11. The main reason I got the unit was because my stock system doesn't have bluetooth at all and wanted a system that integrated with my phone so I could answer / call without touching my phone (handfree). I needed the new unit to be a 2 din as that made the easiest replacement in my truck. Sure we take trips that are sometimes an hour or two, so the features will come in handy on those longer trips. Personally I like quality products. I think this unit is quality, no doubt there. I guess in a couple years I'll have my wish with everything going more and more wireless. Ideally I'd like th
  12. After running this for a few days now, I find it to be a bit quirky. Connecting to the dock every time is a bit cumbersome, especially when you just run to the store. I don't really have long drives, just short 5 min to the store and back. Sure on longer trips this would make more sense. The interface is nice but ideally we just need everything to be wireless
  13. Yeah that's pretty easy, but an easier way via settings is if you double press the home button and scroll to the left you'll get the volume bar and output box where you can easily change the output source.
  14. Update: Inserted the usb into iPod / USB1 and voila it's working really well!
  15. solrac, thanks for your response. That makes so much sense about using the iPhone to switch the output! Now that I think of it, "DUH". I have my syncing automatically with the deck as well just couldn't figure out that issue with the iPod but now it makes sense. I have the brake bypass installed per the instructions. Still need to test some videos to make sure it's working, maybe I'll grab a DVD and see it play or something. The advanced app mode isn't working though because I put the USB plug in the wrong port. I didn't know and failed to read the instructions. Will run down
