  1. My bluetooth is working a lot better with the 3.0. I'm not saying it has a bluetooth update in it because i dont know for sure but my HTC phone had a lot of problems with the unit before. Although I don't know if it was my phone's fault (many htc users had trouble) or the navi i DID have a lot of trouble with the call not ending after hangup, the pickup/hangup buttons not coming up, phone book not conecting without extra firmware. After the 3.0 i didnt change anything on my phone. Yet the nav automatically imported my contacts without any firmware needed. And still after days of usage, the blu
  2. They're all there but you have to zoom in too much to see all of them. At the distance that i like to keep it you can only see the streets near you, but not the ones on the perimeter. It used to be able to do this on 2.0. Does no one have an answer to get it back to normal? Maybe someone who still has 2.0 can give us their settings on the smart zoom. Dont know if this will fix it...tried too many combos on the settings and nothing helped.
  3. The people who have a hard time with clicking edit, just click and drag the files to the other folder, you dont need to do copy paste. Open your SD card folder, and open your myflashdisk folder (or whatever folder on the unit you need) then click+drag to select all. and click+drag to the bottom where your other folder is, once that pops up, click+drag into the white space so that it copies into the folder. same as computers not that hard. but really, does anyone know how to fix the street names on 3d zoom. I've tried diff settings on the smart zoom and nothing fixes it, either it zooms out
  4. Everything works great but has anyone been able to solve that street name problem on 3d maps? i either have to get too close to see them or i click zoom out and it goes too far. n then i have to go one by one zoom in until i see them again. wonder if it'll be normal once i drive =/
  5. HTC Mogul. HTC's have been pretty messy with the avic. no clue about any fixes though. I guess a PM would be appreciated in case someone goes off about us posting in the wrong section. I also have to check the bluetooth updates on the pioneer site but doubt they'd help much.
  6. To all those that have done the update successfully, has it helped bluetooth at all? Bluetooth is pretty laggy now after a month of owning it. Calls dont always end as quick as the phones hang up. Hangup/Pickup buttons dont show. etc. Wondering if this is just my phone, the unit, a mix of both, and if 3.0 does anything to help it, if possible.
  7. search the pioneer website!!!!! Ver 3.010100 CHANGE HISTORY: - Fixes the case that “distance to destination†is incorrectly displayed in French Canadian kilometer mode. - Improves the reliability of “Delete All User Data†feature - Improves 2D map display performance in scales > 20,000ft. - Fixes the case that city names on 2D map may not be displayed when large amounts of MSN Traffic data is present. - Enhances reliability during firmware update process. - Fixes the case where Track Log data is not retained in memory when unit is shut off. - Improves reliability of iPod a
  8. LOLOLOL bit torrent clinet is a program for your COMPUTER that will ALLOW you to download the files from that link on the first page. then those files you'll use in your unit. and no the name of the bit torrent client isnt 'bit torrent client'. Look for Azureus. download it, install it. then click on the link and when it asks you how to open it, browse for azureus and select it. azureus will help you download it.
  9. OK i've been searching for a while and it seems strange i cant find the answer but if any one can help me out with a quick link that'll be great. before i update to 3.0 i'd like to backup my 2.0. What do i have to do to back this up? which files do i have to go in and copy from the unit to save on my comp? Thanks.
  10. what's the difference between 3.01 and 3.0 ive been searching for a while with no answer.
  11. He never said he doesnt want a NAV guys, he said he doesnt want new maps. AKA he shouldnt have to pay for new maps if he just wants a firmware update. I too dont want new maps because the maps on the 2.0 avic that i bought are enough and i've never run into any trouble or maps that would need updating. I DO however want firmware that might fix some bugs that have been mentioned. The fact that pioneer forces us to buy the new maps for 60 in order to get the "free" firmware is not fair considering firmware glitches being fixed is their responsibility and should be free. EQ question

Well for a person who's not too experienced with this sort of thing, id rather a pro do it. I'm willing to pay a relatively reasonable price if its going to guarantee me a good install with someone experienced who's does this on a regular basis. I could have probably installed it, but only after asking too many questions, and risking the chance of having to re-taking the unit in and out in the case of a wire problem. But yeah, if you can do it yourself, doesnt get any better than that lol

Too much? I really could care less at this point considering Boomer and Allston both gave me an estimate of 600 / 800. Maybe, that was back when i was expecting to rewire the whole car, but even then i remeber allston saying either way it was 80$ an hour for labor, and other fees for installation. Boomer on the other hand kept saying it would need to be rewired regardless, then told me 800, then pretended to think about "what else would be needed" and finished up with an estimate of 900 - 1000$. Luxury Details had experience with mercedes, and gave me a price i could work with so whatever.
