  1. For a few years now, my F90BT has never quite functioned as I had hoped, especially with the bluetooth phone interface. On a very rare ocassion I can successfully transfer an active call from my phone to the radio and continue the conversation, however what happens more commonly is that you loose audio completely in the car and only the call recipiant can hear anything. I've checked the BT compatability and have the latest software, however I am hear rumors that there may be a hackthat I could apply to improve the over all experience here. When I cut the power to the Igniton the call jus
  2. I have had this debate with my install dude, and we went the route of just using one of the two sides of the diversity antenna. He maintains (and he's certainly qualified on the matter) that the Pioneer units have no way of dealing with a diversity antenna. Even though I have correctly powered the antenna, radio reception is still vastly sub par of what I had with my factory Toyota unity - when listening to HD Radio this is especially annoying as it reduces the effective range considerably. So, is there no practical hack or prepackaged solution to leverage the diversity antenna to improve
  3. My Sirius attached to a AVICBT910 has stopped functioning and is now stuck on Channel 11, BBC Radio 1. No sound from it either but the head unit does seem to still recognize the Sirius unit. Any ideas ?
  4. I no longer have street names on my 3D projection maps, but I do on my 2D maps since I ran, I believe successfully the 3.0 update. Any else run into this and has a possible solution?
  5. My 3.0 upgrade has broken my Sirius Radio. It now just sits there and say's 'Connecting'. It won't even let me change the station. Anyone else seen this?
  6. Just plugged in my new 3GS with my AVIC F-90BT. It looks totally functional, its charging but I've no sound. My wife's 3G works perfectly. Do I require the Apple AV cable for this to work?
  7. I have the P20 and I think my biggest complaint/disappointment is how poorly it performs in picking up analogue and digital signals.
  8. Great question - am very interested to see this resolved.
  9. I've noticed my F90BT has developed this weird fade-in/fade-out behavior where momentarily I loose sound, and then get it back. I haven't yet figured out the regularity but I think it may be the head unit as I hear this irrespective of whether I am listen to the radio, HD/Satellite etc. Anyone experienced this?
  10. Craigslist here i come...
  11. Are there any known hacks to get an iPod Mini to work with the AVIC-F90BT? I realize it is listed as unsupported, but i feel sure someone has worked around this.
  12. What is the collective opinions on how best to match a diversity antenna (typically found on Toyota's) with AVIC F90BT systems? AKAIK, with a diversity antenna there two things I should do - first make sure it is correctly powered (blue wire I believe) and second find a way to splice together the 2x antenna feed from two feeds to one which will plugin into my HU. I think i need to find a splitter that would take the 2x female (both sizes) to male connections for this work. My FM/AM/HD Radio reception is really poor, much worse than that of my factory radio which frankly is a huge disappoin
  13. BetsBuy mounting mine beneath the glove box, however the biggest feedback I'd have is make sure you get a decent antenna. I am still of the opinion that my HD Radio offers much poorer reception performance than my factory radio. Really very disappoint even though I installed a amplified antenna.
  14. I need to pick up a Toyota 4Runner antenna splitter - female to 2x males. Anyone got any idea where I could find one as none of my local RadioShacks seem to stock them. Can anyone suggest possible online retailers? I am looking to re-enable FM and AM tuner in my AVIC-F90BT, as I don't think my HD Radio (with an amplified Antenna) performs well for AM and non HD Radio stations.
