  1. Please forgive my ignorance on the subject. But I just saw an appradio2 in bestbuy a few days ago and I am very interested. I currently have a Pioneer AVIC-X910BT which I like very much, but wouldnt mind updating to a newer system. My question is... Can you install any applications to the radio itself? Or is it a mere extension of my iphone. If I were to forget my phone at home one day would I be screwed and not have navigation, etc available.
  2. Dude, you just hijacked this thread! That sorta shit is not tolerated in ANY forum. START YOUR OWN THREAD! My apologies. Didn't know asking a question was hijacking. Didn't mean to offend anyone. I will start another thread.
  3. Does anyone know the best way to look up an address if you don't know the city? I live in Chicago and know the city very well. Every so often I will need to go to a particular address in the suburbs. Let's say I need to go to 123 N. Main Street... It won't let me look up an address unless I know the exact city, or suburb. Unfortunately sometimes you might think the address in one suburb, but it's in another. On my old factory nav if I put in 123 N. Main Street it would list that address in cities in texas, florida, illinois, etc and I could choose the one I wanted. Has anyone
  4. I just installed this mod last night. I must say that it is very impressive. I think this is the one I will be keeping. I went for a short drive after installation and everything works very well. I have a few questions I hope you wouldn't mind answering. 1. I noticed I have no poi icons such as gas stations or restaurants. Tried to figure it out to no avail. 2. Can anyone tell me what the "Run an Application" is about? Res info, File Explorer, Opera Thanks... Any information appreciated
  5. Just trying to figure out what it means when I am on the expressway and the road will be yellow and have a blinking black line directly over the road. Also sometimes I will see a little yellow circle with a number inside it like 30 or 40. My wife and I really like this update, but we were just trying to figure out a few things while in my car today. I think she now wants to take my radio for her car. Is there any kind of manual that will inform me of all the nuances of this update? Any help appreciated.
  6. I am planning to mod my X910BT in the near future. I have been reading about IDT 3.0 and Diaftia's Keeper Mod. Was wondering if anyone knows the difference between them? Do you guys prefer one over the other. I am looking more into being able to customize the X910BT to my exact liking.
  7. Can you tell me on the Z110BT is there a way to scroll through your radio presets while looking at navigation screen. I currently have a Eclipse 726E and believe it or not this is not possible on the Eclipse 726E. The arrow button will only allow you to manually tune in a radio frequency. For this reason that might seem a bit petty, I am selling the Eclipse. Wanted to know is scrolling through radio presets while looking at navi screen possible, because I am now leaning towards the Z110BT Thanks
  8. I would like to direct this mikegedge and enyone else that can comment on this. I recently installed a Kenwood 7120 in my car that I got for a good price. After 3 weeks I have decided that it has to go!!! The fact that it doesn't show any street names like my old factory nav is driving me crazy. Unfortunately my factory nav broke so I was forced to upgrade. I was fooled because every promo pic I saw of the unit showed a map that had street names labeled. To keep from being fooled again I want to hear the facts from actual users. I am intrigued by the z110bt. Can you tell me about
  9. Just wondering if my Z1 requires a particular brand of hard drive. I want to replace my 30GB with a 40GB or 60GB. My common sence tells me that as long as it's ATA and 5400rpm's I shouldn't have any problems. But my common sence has been wrong in the past so I have decided to seek hlep here. Thanks...
  10. Soundz Good in Chicago on Western 2 blocks south of Irving Park. Right across from Lane Tech High School. They installed the same unit in my wife's car the other day.
