Sorry people...didnt read the manual n therefore didnt know i have to save a favourite first through address or poi. I assumed that i would click on favourites and then be able to add as many once the favourites window is open....my bad. thanks for all your help. I have successfully added favourites to my f500bt.

I never used my unit before the ezrider.exe hack. so never added any favorites when it was 2.006. I did the hack as soon as i got the unit. so what do you need the favorites file for? There is no, if you never added any. I got a brand new f500bt and loaded the 3.0 ezrider hack as soon as i got it...didnt use the unit before the hack as i needed to load an international map on it before i used the navigation

That is where i looked. There is no file by that name...not in my flash drive backup on my pc and not even on my F500 unit. I went to my flash drive\user\userdata\igo\save through wince as well and there is no favourite.dat file.... i basically have no favourite.dat file...not in my backup and not even in my unit.... pls help cause i need them favourites....thanks How about doing a search on your pc for favorites.dat?If it's not there then i think you're snookered. i did. This is because your favorites.dat got overwritten with the upgrade, so there are no favorites saved. As explained, you need to take the favorites.dat file from your backup (you DID make a backup, right?) and copy it to the /user/userdata/save folder in MY Flash Disk. -Eric there is no file called favourites.dat in my user/userdata/save folder in my backup....i have 2 different backups of my f500bt flash disc........one on an external HD and one on my PC. Both backups dont have favourites.dat file in the user/userdata/igo/save any ideas or suggestions wat i should do?

Update wipes out everything in saved iGO preferences (those aren't compatible between 2 and 3), regardless of boot screen option. If you have the backup, just restore favorites.dat and you should be all set though. My Favouites tab simply does not come on after the update....it is not highlighted so cannot click on it altogether...

I followed the info and updated (including the new EZRIDER). I have one issue: TTS stopped working. Samantha does not play. Jason without TTS works. Please verify if you have the same issue. Does anyone know how to get the TTS to work again..

Breaking it up even further with one question.... I have a F500BT with 2.006 version. I want to be able to use 8.3 version maps on my unit... This is what i understand after reading the forums and wondering if there is anything i am missing here... The APL2 folder from 3.0 is available from this link.... is this the right link??? http://itchybot.com/x910bt.zip.torrent. Also please correc me if i am wrong.... i DONT need to actually update winCE or update my unit to 3.0....i simply do this 1. swap the whole APL2 folder with the one extracted from 3.0 package(from link above). 2. c

So you dont update to 3.0 to use the hacked ezrider 3.0?? My f500bt is 2.006 and to be able to use an 8.3 igo MAP, i simply replace the APL2 folder in my unit with the 3.0 package, change the sys.txt and replace the ezrider with the hacked ezrider 3.0 and add the world licence file in licence folder....is that all?? does that mean i dont need to update my unit to 3.0? and just use the hacked exrider 3.0? pls help i am confused...thanks

Since u have such a fast connection have u tired puttin the igo 8.3 with all maps n all igo8.3 files on a SD card and i access the igo.exe 8.3 file with file explorer, does it work? has anyone tried this?
